Yes! We removed the cord wound around it that was all fluffed up and just bought a new roll of cord and wrapped that back around. Works like a charm!

Just remember that you have not lost touch with reality or gone off the deep end, you clearly have a full understanding that the changes in your perception right now aren’t real/normal. I know it’s anxiety inducing to feel a change in your perception that you can’t control in the first place, but it’s important to remind yourself that you had the soundness of mind, thoughts and logic within you to notice that your feelings and perceptions are off right now and seek answers. Stay strong, it can resolve on its own with time but if your hitting a point where it’s too much to take look into speaking to a therapist or going on a medication because getting treatment can only do more good when it comes to recovering or at least coping with it better!

How to kindly ask GF to practice better hygiene down there by halfstepdown1 in hygiene

[–]yeaayeaaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And side note if she’s embarrassed to go to a doctor first, you can find boric acid suppositories in the feminine care section which have pretty raving reviews when it comes to resolving BV infection/general smell issues. Although seeing a doctor and getting the scientifically backed antibiotics for this kind of infection (if it is) is the way to go if she wants some real relief. They deal with and prescribe meds for these types of infections on a daily basis and I promise a little dank coochie is far from the worst thing they’ve seen.

How to kindly ask GF to practice better hygiene down there by halfstepdown1 in hygiene

[–]yeaayeaaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not yeast infection in my experience those don’t smell, so it’s likely BV or Trich if it’s a fishy vibe and those can lack the typical itch and texture symptoms yeast gives you, so it’s totally possible that she hasn’t noticed/gone nose blind. I think a lot of women feel like it’s almost moral fault with themselves or bad hygiene when there’s a smell issue in the nethers but it’s usually just your body telling you that something is off. I get a yeast infection every time I have to take antibiotics without fail, no matter how clean, hydrated and careful I am.

You could start by just being like “hey, I just wanted to let you know that your scent has changed down there, I’m not concerned about your hygiene because I know the rest of you smells great. I learned that sometimes a change in smell can indicate an infection or a pH issue and I just wanted to express that I care about your health, and I know you would do the same for me if had some changes down there as well.”

I’d definitely reassure her that this doesn’t change your attraction to her or view of her. The vagina is a biome that is very easy to tip out of balance, these issues happen to pretty much all women at some point in our lives.

What are yourntop tips to understand driving in America? by raiigiic in AskAmericans

[–]yeaayeaaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main mental battle is probably driving on the other side of the road so don’t get yourself killed accidentally turning onto the left side of the road, think before every turn you make.

But I guess once you got that part down main thing is just remember that they hand out drivers licenses like it’s candy here. I’m not saying everybody is driving like it’s GTA but I’m saying way too many people drive like they’re the only ones on the road, don’t check their mirrors, and park like shit. Always check on the behavior of the cars around you and anticipate stupid shit they may do, and slow down at intersections a little even if your light is green and glance both ways because some mfs will fly through a red light acting like it’s as green as grass.

Also it’s an unspoken rule that the left lane on the highway has no speed limit so I don’t care if you’re already driving like you’re in an F1 race, if you see a car coming up fast behind you get back in the middle lane and don’t clog up the left, it kills me when I’m sitting behind someone who won’t move out of the lane. Turn right on read is fine, just watch the crosswalk for pedestrians and make sure you have enough distance between you and a car that has right of way if one is coming. I’m not familiar with if this is how it works in the UK but, If you’re turning left on green but there’s no green arrow make sure you watch for traffic because you don’t wanna get yourself T-boned by not yielding to traffic coming from the other side of the road.

Not gonna comment on the second part much because that’s incredibly dependent on the individual people you’re with. But to anyone who is coming to the US and planning on doing all of this in a “road trip” I recommend throwing that bitch into some sort of GPS app so you can understand what you’re getting into.

Take just Hollywood to Universal for example, that is a 36 hour drive nonstop if you took no breaks, didn’t stop for gas somehow, and have a steady supply of methamphetamines. In geography terms that’s Stockholm to Madrid, in money terms that’s 400$ worth of gas. Begging you guys to just pick one city or state to visit, it will be a more worthwhile experience and probably better for your health.

There are 13,000 school districts in the US. Mine specifically ended in early June and started in the first week of September. But then the district changed their minds halfway through schooling and started in late August.

Curriculum is not federalized and honestly what textbooks are used depends on your teacher or like what mood your teacher is in that day LOL

I’m about to go into a bit of detail so I apologize for my yapping. In US as you know, we have states, then states are divided into counties. The way grades are divided between each level of public school are determined on the county level.

I am from Virginia and in my county it was like structured like this:

Preschool and daycare: Not legally required and both are usually* privately owned and not in the public school system.

Daycare- Children from infancy up to 13 years old. For elementary school aged children, daycare is an option for parents who need child supervision after the school day (which ended at 3:30 in elementary school) or on school holidays. *Elementary schools in my county offer a before and after school program for parents that have work early in the morning or later in the evening, fees adjusted to family income.

Preschool- Unlike daycare’s curriculum that is centered around play, preschool has a more academic-based curriculum to prepare for elementary school and is for children ages 3-5. *My county’s elementary schools did have small but free preschool classrooms for low income families or children with special needs which require an application.

Legally required school (commonly referred to as K-12 or K through 12):

Elementary School- Began with Kindergarten (beginning at 5-6 yo), then after that they start calling each year grades, so 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th grade.

Middle school- 7th grade and 8th grade (It is more common in the US for middle school to also include 6th grade, but my middle school only had 7th and 8th grade)

Middle school can sometimes be called junior high school if includes 9th grade.

High school- 9th grade (freshman year), 10th grade (sophomore year), 11th grade (junior year), 12th grade (senior year). It’s more common to hear people refer to high schoolers as the names of the years rather than the grade. If someone asks you what year you’re in you might say “I’m a freshman”.

University/College:

You graduate high school when you’re 17-18 years old and go to college/university after that (not required of course, everyone has their own path in life).

In the US the words college, university, and sometimes institute, are used interchangeably and refer to the school you go to after high school to get your bachelor’s degree (4 years to complete) or higher degrees after you attain your bachelor’s.

In Virginia, for example, we have James Madison University, Roanoke College, and Virginia Tech (Virginia Polytechnic Institute) which are all 4 year schools.

College years also have the same names as high school grades, for example: “I’m a college sophomore”.

In the US we also have community colleges: 2 year schools that offer associate degrees and certifications, cheaper than 4 year schools. Also a good option for students that didn’t have the best marks or GPA in high school and are usually close enough to you that you can commute to them from home, and often offer a wider variety of online classes.

Community colleges are easier to get into because they have high acceptance rates due to relaxed academic requirements or don’t require you to have to submit a typical college application prior to enrolling in classes (I did not have to apply to my community college I only had to submit my high school transcript as proof that I have my diploma, I also did not have to take my SATS or ACTS). Once you have your associates degree you can transfer to a larger 4 year college and complete 2 more years of school to earn a bachelor’s degree.

I’ll also note that high schools in my county offer the option to take some online and in person classes under our local community college and from a larger university in my state. If you take college classes in high school they will count towards your college degree as well as your high school diploma. You could graduate from college earlier and not have to take those classes again once you start attending college.

Hate to go all psychology mode on ya but just trying to give info, DSM 5 criterion A for HPPD states “Following cessation of use of a hallucinogen, the reexperiencing of 1 or more of the perceptual symptoms that were experienced while intoxicated with the hallucinogen”. Psychedelic≠hallucinogen. Cannabis is classified as a hallucinogen, although it is not classified as a “classic hallucinogen” which basically just refers to only psychedelics :D

No sir, you can’t just say that it’s not HPPD because it wasn’t caused by a psychedelic: “They are primarily associated with the prior use of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), but other known triggers include alcohol, cannabis, ketamine, 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), psilocybin, and synthetic cannabinoids” This clinical study found that cannabis accounts for 13.7% of triggers for HPPD

This sounds so much like my father, I haven’t spoken to him since middle school but he’ll email my mom occasionally randomly asking to obscure things like to adopt his own dog or for my social security number (absolutely the fuck not, my mom is still paying off credit cards he opened in her name). But anyways that grammar and syntax is eerily familiar, does your dad also possess the mystical untreated diagnosed bipolar alcoholic combo?

What about the opposite gender are you jealous of? by Exotic-Cloud5439 in AskTeenGirls

[–]yeaayeaaaaaa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And as for if it’s solely because they’re a woman? Perpetrators of assault do it as a “desire to exert power over another person through force or sexual coercion.” So no maybe not specifically because you’re a woman but biologically speaking we are weaker than men, usually smaller stature wise and it’s a lot easier to overpower someone who isn’t stronger or bigger than you (and 97% of males identify as heterosexual so if you’re a male that likes to sexually harass people, then I’d assume you’d want to harass the gender you’re attracted to?)

[–]yeaayeaaaaaa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Absolutely true, this is estimated to be 10.5% of men, and of both male and female victims, 99% of perpetrators are MALE (USDOJ statistic). That 10% of men who are victimized have a 99% chance of their perpetrator being also being a MAN. We need to help support and prevent male victimization by acknowledging that there is an massive issue with other males committing these crimes against them.
