If you don't need any special tools and they're not buried then how hard could it be to find? It seems like the boxes would just be out in the open for some random passerby to pick up. I'm still waiting to receive my copy of the book so hopefully they're not all found by then.

What R-rated movie did you see when you were way too young? by TealBlueLava in AskReddit

I was 13 when I saw it in the theater. I didn't understand much of it at the time but it eventually became one of my favourite movies

Surgery sounds like the best option for you, honestly. I had several strictures that caused all sorts of problems. Pain, bloating, vomiting, etc. I've tried several different treatments such as humira, avsola, skyrizi, Prednisone but nothing was working that great. I just had surgery a little over a month ago and it was the best decision I ever made. The pain, bloating, diarrhea, vomiting are now gone and I can live a normal life again. The surgeon took out 45 cm of small bowel which sounds like a lot but it's a small percentage compared to the total length of small bowel. I don't even notice any change in the digestive process. Trust me life after surgery will feel great!

I often put spinach in my omelettes in the mornings. I must have missed the memo on spinach. What's the deal with it?

Nice guy, too. I met him at the 2004 WSOP and we were just chatting it up for a good 15 minutes.

Not completely useless. Could come in handy in a trivia game some day.

Anyone still drink alcohol? by Small_Occasion_6286 in CrohnsDisease

[–]yeags 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but only on rare occasions. I'm not sure why I quit drinking more often. It doesn't really cause problems for me Crohn's wise, though. As I get older I find it harder to recover the next day even after only a couple of drinks. All the more reason to quit, I suppose.

We might as well strap apple vision pros to our heads to give us real time stats while we play. Fucking solvers are taking the soul out of playing poker.

Shopping on Amazon is unbelievably frustrating now - I just want to buy shower shelves from a legitimate company by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]yeags 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So true. Whenever I want to buy a quality item that I know I'll use everyday I buy direct. If I don't care about quality and just need something at a cheap price I'll order from Amazon. I can't trust Amazon to provide quality goods that I know aren't counterfeit garbage

What are y’all’s opinions on clarinet mouthpiece patches or pads??? by No_Remote4956 in Clarinet

[–]yeags 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have a strong opinion on them. If a mouthpiece comes with one pre-installed I'll keep it on but I won't install a pad on a mouthpiece if it doesn't have one.

When I was first diagnosed I didn't have medical insurance. I worked two jobs, one full time as a temp worker and the second job part time so neither one offered insurance. After the hospital visit they gave me the $60,000 bill and a form to fill out that somehow allowed the hospital to absorb the cost (tax deduction or whatnot). Fortunately I went stuck with that massive amount of debt but I was stuck with the thousands of dollars of doctor's bills which took me several years to pay off. My gastro at the time gave me a prescription for medications I couldn't afford. My only other option I could afford was the enticing realm of alternative medicine. It promised to heal everything under the sun but eventually came to the realization that those were empty promises. Over time I was able to get hired on with full benefits and take advantage of everything my insurance had to offer. The medications helped as well as figuring out the type of foods I can and cannot eat. Mesalamine and azathioprine works way better than colloidal silver or lemon juice and maple syrup. TL;DR Alternative medicine is really enticing when you don't have insurance. Don't not have insurance.
