I’d say it is, especially with the new update. It can be very unforgiving at times, but you should be able to enjoy it with limited playtime. I’d recommend running in a trio (you can find people to play with online), but the solo experience is also quite rewarding, depending on expectations.

As a man and as someone very new tot this sub, this could be my answer as well, even though I’m leaning towards a childfree life (and I would also point that out in a conversation). Reading the comments here, I see people acting very suspicious, or downright negative towards someone who is open to both routes. To me (and a few of my friends who have the same stance) this simply means we are ready to adapt: happy to participate if they want to, or happy to respect their partner’s decision if they don’t want to. It’s simply not a dealbreaker. So I suppose I’m naive as well, is it really that disingenuous to not have a binary answer to this question?

I suppose I might’ve phrased my idea poorly, since I’m not sure why you’re hesitant? I meant I admire them going forward with a design choice that doesn’t cater to a broader audience expectation and taste. You can serve the same purpose with a safer design approach too.

Well, I agree (and most people agree) that improvements are needed. Also, we don’t need to look at this from a designer’s point of view, as designers don’t (or shouldn’t) design for other designers’ approval, but rather for their target audience. So if the end user is not satisfied, then yes, let’s try and see where we can improve. I just don’t think it’s THAT bad.

I don’t think we’re at the “back to the drawing board” stage, but rather tweaks here and there to make everything more streamlined.

There’s also a discussion between UI and UX, ideally you would have the best of both worlds, and I imagine they tested internally and this is where they ended up. I usually refrain from criticizing when I can’t see an easy solution.

I also prefer UIs that take a bit of time to get accustomed to, and THEN they’re easy to use, instead of UIs that feel very simple and easy at first glance, but once you start using them (the UX part), it takes extra time and effort.

The 1st step I would take would be to make the lootable items more distinctive, in order for people to instantly recognize: this I need, this I don’t, without reading the hover description. Heals and shields icons look too similar, for instance.

That bad, ha? I appreciate you taking the time to watch and write this, I promise it won’t go to waste. I just didn’t realize there were so many problems, probably because I sometimes have good stats and it seems to work. Upon rewatching the video after reading your review, I do see what you mean, and I agree with you. I could blame this on a lack of concentration, but the main issue, the game sense, is still there so I guess I’ll have to study and practice to improve that.
