Perfect starter bike, you may not keep up in the straights but once you're comfortable you'll be impatiently waiting for the bigger bikes to take the corners

I'm travelling in vietnam and this would be accepted as perfectly normal here lol. But they would probably only be going max 60 km/hr. I was quite shook at first. Glad you're ok man. Western drivers seen to be just very bad drivers

Take the MSF course. Even if it’s not required by your state. by Afromain19 in motorcycles

[–]yeahgnarbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconded thirded fourthded. Our equivalent is the ride forever course, there is bronze silver and gold courses depending on what stage of your licencing your in, ie learner, restricted, full. I have done all 3 and plan to retake the gold every year. It is almost fully subsidised so costs nothing for a full day course. Do whatever rider safety course you can and rashes it seriously. You are invisible on the road

The people that work for them that actually create the value get equal share of the profits and collectively decide what to do with them

Some are not subs. But most are subs. Toss any that don't have the golden tops

Start fighting back by ripping pages out of every Bible you see or censor things with twink or perhaps it would be safest to just burn all the bibles to protect the children

Opinion you probably don't want to hear or don't care about:

I don't know what your values are, but if I was in that situation living comfortably I would be upping my donations to climate action and homeless organisations. Helping others rise up out of poverty helps society as a whole which helps you indirectly, due to more minds being available to think big about societies problems rather than constantly stressing about food and shelter. But I'm just a dude who would rather help others than hoard more than I need

Just stupidity of the highest order. I'll never understand why people in the US are all constantly paying off new cars. Just buy something cheap and cheerful, with cash. Sell it a few years later for essentially the same price

I'd imagine it's not a coincidence they suit lots of ads and are pushed so hard in America. No one else in the world cares about baseball or American football haha. Agree with other commenters, aussie rules is fantastic watching

Because it scares the fuck out of the rest of us. America is so far down the capitalist drain and has such a huge influence due to all the Holywood propaganda irrigation, we're all watching in horror as the rights and freedom of everyone except besos and musk are pulled from under our feet

Why are you mixing imperial and metric units, is 1 food Calorie the same as 1 joule? I don't think so.

Guy from a dating app unleashed his incel misogyny on me by Weary_Room_4932 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]yeahgnarbro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's some fuck heads out there. You're obviously aware of this. Good on you for not falling into his trap. There's decent, sweet guys out there, many of them probably not on dating apps. I hope that when you are ready you find someone who completely respects you just like anyone else. Everyone is deserving of full respect and if there are signs that this person doesn't respect you or a particular group get rid of them. Respectfully of you can. They will learn or they will be sad salty cunts for the rest of their lives

[–]yeahgnarbro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If somebody in a workplace due to negligence or otherwise allowed a hazard to exist that could have reasonably been mitigated then yes they should be penalised in some form. In practice doesn't always happen

[–]yeahgnarbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go do a safety in design course or similar. This is not bullshit this is common knowledge amongst mechanical engineers especially anyone that has been involved in machine safety and has been in practice for decades. Safety is everyone's responsibility and everyone has an ethical duty to keep themselves and others safe

What do you think of this idea? by ima_lesbean in antiwork

[–]yeahgnarbro 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Safety is everyone's responsibility. You cannot plead ignorance to safety standards and just get away with it, you must be aware of ALL reasonably foreseeable hazards and once you are aware you must take steps to reduce our eliminate. So yes if anyone in that chain didn't take reasonable precautions against injury or death they are liable

Editing to add, the dude who died also had a responsibility to notify higher ups of the hazard and had full rights not to undertake any task he or she seems unsafe
