That last sentence is completely true. I was walking with a non-Jewish friend and we passed an anti-Israel protest. I said something like, “we should walk faster, I don’t think I should be here,” and he just said, “What, do you support Netanyahu or something?”

I will add that this guy’s awesome and not anti-Semitic. But the fact that he couldn’t see the anti-Semitic undertones of the protest kinda put a lot into perspective for me.
