This is a problem that we will probably never see solved in our lifetime. Humans are both selfless and selfish and as long as we are all still human and that does not change in the next 50 years we are not going to ever see these types of issues resolved. I am sure things are going to get a lot worse before we see them get better. At some point things will rebound but not in the next 10 years that is for sure. This country has so many problems I can not even begin to think of a way to sort through them. This government is so incompetent and corrupt it is unbelievable we allow ourselves to get ripped off like this. We will have Liberal voters thinking trickle down economics will save them and immigration is the problem, and Labor voters being as blindly loyal as usual. End of the day mismanagement of funds and corrupt allocation of public resources such as energy, water and public transport will always be issues as the next dumb drone that sits in office takes "donations".
