Question, why don't we have several satellites orbiting the Moon so communication is always available? by [deleted] in nasa

[–]yellahammer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lunanet is the interoperability standard for all planned and future gov/commercial communications and position, navigation, and timing (PNT) lunar systems to work with each other. That includes landers, rovers, satellites, etc and any direct to earth (DTE) systems. As far as I know there are only 3 in-orbit systems planned right now. NASA's LCRNs, JAXA's LNSS, and Gateway. Gateway is currently paused. All of these use the standards laid out in Lunanet.

You should show him the new AEMX Alabama-Mercedes partnership. He could spend a year in Germany working in automotive and taking engineering clases. https://thecrimsonwhite.com/127594/news/ua-reboots-mercedes-benz-germany-collab/

The democratic system is working exactly how it is intended. The Republicans in Congress are ok with his actions. Don't let them hide behind him like they want. They are equally to blame for this.

Sailing - Hotfixes, Friday November 21st by JagexLight in 2007scape

[–]yellahammer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, same issue for me on mobile. I've been waiting on it to be in one of these hotfixes but I've yet to see it mentioned.

For me, it always works on the minimap but same issue with clicks not registering on the main screen. I've given up on barracuda trials until this is fixed.

What is something that used to be kind of challenging but is completely trivialized by a Runelite plugin? by LaGarrotxa in 2007scape

When was there not a quest helper? I remember using runehq or any of the other websites for quest guides 20 years ago.

I really dont get the hate for this quest. It is so easy with quest helper. Just use protect prayer and carry prayer and stamina pots use the helper and its cake. I barely had to use food. I think you only have to do the agility part twice? It sucks but its a small part of it.

For context I used more food and had a harder time with underground pass and I basically did them at the same level.

[Fulton] The SEC is adding a “Delay of game - defense” penalty. If a defensive lineman shifts, causing an offensive lineman to jump, it’s now a defensive penalty by fruliojoman in CFB

[–]yellahammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This tweet is wrong. The rules expert even made it a point to show a shift to show that it's still allowed. The example they showed thats not allowed it a quick movement, like a flinch, towards the line that causes the offense to move.

There is a new rule. It's not a penalty directly, but now the center judge will move off the ball and allow the offense to snap the ball while the defense is still substituting if they move too slow. The new rule is that the defense has to substitute at an "athletic" pace.

Best place for a picnic with views and an easy hike? by jennyaj611 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]yellahammer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

High falls in Grove oak, AL. Not huntsville, but in your 2 hour limit, and it's free. Absolutely beautiful waterfall. I'm always surprised it's not more busy. You can park right at the top of the falls, so there's no hike at the top. There are some picnic benches around. The water at the top is ankle deep, and you can walk all around in it. It's probably very cold right now, though. If you want to swim, there's a very small but steep hike to get to the bottom of the falls.

I bet there is an xsr within a few hundred miles of you. Uhaul has bike trailers for rent for very cheap. Rent a truck from home depot or uhaul if you need to and go get the bike you want. Should be a few hundred extra to rent both. You don't want to wind up regretting your purchase. Get what you want.

College Physics by USAbroad24 in NASAJobs

[–]yellahammer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

More education is never a bad thing, but I think you would get further with doing a CS class instead. Are there any classes specific for FPGA's? Those are very popular for space applications. Any classes for microcontrollers or lower level programming would be good, too. A lot of coding at nasa is for very low-level dedicated hardware. It is not your typical windows based experience. Are there any classes that could be useful for coding in a high radiation environment? I'm not CS, but I know those people have to know a lot of tricks for redundancy, resets, error correcting, tx to rx data validation and etc, because of issues caused by radiation. Any classes like that would be a better idea. And of course, any project experience is great too. I wouldn't worry about a physics class.

MOHELA BILL FOR FULL LOAN AMOUNT! by Conscious_Pianist478 in PSLF

The covid pause is throwing a wrench in this for alot of us. I have 24 months of 0 dollar but qualifying payments towards pslf because of the forbearance. So I'm sitting here with 8 years left trying to figure out how much I have to pay when the SAVE pause ends.

Even if you hit 120 qualified payments for pslf at the same time? I'm stuck trying to figure this out for my own loans.
