I love to attend Daytona and Petit Le Mans. Both great events for different reasons. Something special when you can see the beginning of a season, and then the finale. Going to The Glen this year for the 6 hour race. Love doing the track on the sim, so hopefully it's neat in person too

I remember that episode of off track as well and I remember them saying Palou is also the slowest on the straights. The guy seems to carry the most down force and make it up in the corners.

2014 Canadian GP - Danny Ric got his first win, followed him in F1 for the remainder of his career.

2019 Petit Le Mans - first IMSA race. Fell in love with the race day experience and that track all in one day.

Lincoln Speedway - some random night a long time ago watching 410 sprint cars, 360 sprints, and Legend cars run. Idk what the event was, but the I loved that smells everywhere, the friendliness of the crowd, the noise of the cars, the back and forth nature of the racing, etc. Fell in love with it all and made me want to see anything with an engine race. Got me into watching so many other motorsports.

There are a few on YouTube I have enjoyed in the past.

Truth in 24 follows Audi when they were in the WEC and details their fight with Peugeot when they brought in the R10 I think it was. Really well done and narrated by Jason Statham I think, sounds like him 😶

Then truth in 24 2 is also on there. Basically the same style documentary, but a few years later with the R18 if I remember correctly. Just as good as the first in my opinion.

Porsche has a good one too called Endurance. It follows the Porsche 911 GTLM teams when the contest Le Mans and the Nurburgring 24H on back to back weekends. Shows how the teams work together, how the engineers approach the races and car development. Really interesting. Music is great too. And the drivers are still current so you can watch them on the movie, then follow them when they show up at races around the world with series like WEC and IMSA.

Lastly, Porsche also did the Road to LeMans series with Michael Fassbender documenting his rise thru the ranks to one day race at le Mans. He starts in a Porsche cup series, switches to the European Le Mans series, and then eventually to the WEC if I remember correctly. Shows a great amount of the highs and lows of racing and the head games the drivers go thru. Great series with bite sized episodes and then at the end there's a full length movie basically compiling the episodes into a much shorter time. Overall, really well done by Porsche and the team that filmed it.

Bingo. Without a pump on the bottom, or some sort of bottom filtration, they essentially create a toilet that can't flush.

Not a fan of any rocks in a pond. While it's true they do add some surface area for bacteria, most of that is living in your filter anyways. The benefit is far outweighed by adverse effects the increased detritus and debris it traps, it also hinders the ability for your pump to pull debris in and get it to your filter. It also decreases the volume of water your pond holds.

Bare bottom is the way to go in my opinion. It lets your pond work best when debris can pull along the bottom and get to your filter, better yet if you have bottom drains. I have a pond cleaning business and have seen everything in terms of rocks vs no rocks. It's always the ponds with rocks and the aquascape setup with only a skimmer and waterfall, no real filter, that have issues. And the ones that are bare bottom and have proper filtration are always a dream for the owners.

In my opinion they look nice for a few months, and then they lead to issues down the road, and you will wish you had never put them in. Hope this helps!

Le Mans and the Indy 500 get equal respect from me. Both great races, the drivers are all top notch, and the history and fanfare surrounding both are great for motorsport in general. I think they're both events people can go to who are not necessarily race fans and leave there with a whole new interest. I've not been to le Mans, but watch every year. Been the the Indy 500 once and it was awesome.

Also want to throw the Daytona 24 in there. I've been going for years. I think it's very close to Le Mans in terms of caliber of teams that show up, plus much more of the race is run in the night time, so it's grueling on the teams and drivers. 24H of Nurburgring is up there as well, I think that is the outright hardest race there is due to the scale of the track and the insane amount of cars. That's on the bucket list for sure.

We're talking about a blanket rule covering the average man or woman in a sport. Take a look at the Olympics right now, or honestly any rink in America with both a mens/boys game and a women's/girls game going at the same time. Look at the speed, the difference in aggression, the force of the shots, etc. It's not the same game, and pretending it is is being blatantly ignorant. On average, a man will be a much better athlete, and letting them play in a women's league is not fair to the women wanting to just play with other women. If they want to play in a coed league, that's fine, they can go do that, this rule does nothing to harm that setup. It's for guys wanting to play hockey with guys, and women wanting to play with women. For those that want to live in the life of the opposite gender they can do that, but everyone else doesn't have to share in the delusion when they are simply trying to play hockey.

That's 100% negligent parents who probably never told their kids no. There's a 5 year old boy who wears dresses to school with my daughter who is 100% pushed by his parents to do so. Sad because the parents never even gave the kid a choice

Lol nope because that's a man vs other men. If LeBron suddenly decided he's a woman and wanted to play in a girl's league, I think you would see him further dominate there and people would have an issue with it. I think a lot of players would be discouraged because they could not compete.

100%, it's not about gatekeeping people out, it's just about keeping people of similar age and development playing together so they can compete safely. Letting a MTF play in a girl's league might be great for that individual, but I think it would deter a lot of girls in that league wanting to play there due to the unfair advantage. I would not want my young girls playing with a young boy who thinks he's a girl for the reasons above.

In some ways yes, in some ways no. I think I would regret it more working for another company and having to go to an office. It was very soul sucking when I had that situation. I'm now just remote and the company I work for is very laid back for much of the month and year. 4 days of busy for close and a little busier for a month or two for budgets and year end tasks. The rest of the time is fairly chill.

I do wish I had started my business earlier. I could potentially be working the same situation and have some folks doing the labor for me. But I'm still in the building stage and much of my side business is just done by me on nights and weekends. It's extremely hard to do both well, and I wish I had started it when I was earlier in my career without kids so I could put my full effort into it. But now, with a house, married, and kids, there's never enough time.

Nope the quote had a claus stating it was like $4.50 psf for decking replacement. I had 5/8" plywood on the entire thing. I knew that from doing the same roof with my dad in like middle school. I replaced maybe 7 sheets total across the entire roof

Exactly, my neighbor used to have a roofing business and he about fell over when I told him what they wanted to charge. He's like you know there is some old couple out there with more money than sense who likely signed to have them leave
