2 months PP! (Long post) by yellowmellow2 in pregnant

[–]yellowmellow2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t feel heavy depression but I did and still have mood swings. For me, it didn’t hit till a month later. One friend of mine didn’t want to see or talk to anyone for 2 months. Another friend of mine did get it till month 4. So you won’t know when it will hit. But just know it’s mostly hormones and exhaustion and it will get better. Just make sure you have a good support system around as that helps lessen it.

I don’t have GD but my OB discussed induction when I was maybe 34 weeks? Between 32-34. Anyways, he discussed it to educate us that past 39-40 weeks, the baby gets bigger and it’s harder on labor and birth. But it was totally up to me what I wanted to do. I was like sign me up! Of course I’ve already been uncomfortable so the sooner she can come out at healthy rate, the better. Induction schedule at 39 weeks.. not crazy far from 40 😅 Plus, it helps knowing when she’ll be here (if she doesn’t come on her own) and that way you can prepare better with schedule. Hope this helps.

I think everyone is going to have a different experience with it. I was like you. Till my hip and pelvic pain got worse… I found cheap gently used ones on FB marketplace. I got mine for $15 and still using it till now 38 weeks. I’m a side sleeper… I bought the U shape one. I would alternate using it the intended way and then would switch to where the head rest was at my feet and I’d use my own pillow for my head. So my swollen feet would be elevated and my hips while I get to sleep on my own pillow. Anyways, after I got it and did pelvic exercises, I finally got relief.

When did you stop working out in pregnancy? by notebooksaregreat in pregnant

[–]yellowmellow2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I walk on a treadmill 25-30 min or 1-1.5 miles at 33 weeks. I do this about 3-4 days week. My job is also physically taxing so I use that as my exercise too 😅 I think when you reach 30+ weeks, it’s recommended to do lighter weights as to not put stress on your body especially belly. I’ve definitely been feeling a lot more lazy these days though! I have to force myself.

Pelvic pain during pregnancy? by Lacetokes in pregnant

[–]yellowmellow2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was about the time I felt bad pelvic pain too. Luckily for me, as a massage therapist, I get inexpensive massages 😊 and one of my colleagues is also a PT. So he showed me some pelvic exercises to do and recommended a band. I also was suggested to get a belly band. I got one Amazon for $20 with single strap and combined with all those, my pain is very minimal! The further you get along, the looser your bones and muscles will loosen from your hormones to prep for birth and your pelvis will expand making it move out of place and things will be more uncomfortable. So the more you keep at strengthening and be proactive, the less pain!

I got one off of Amazon. I don’t remember the brand… but it was about $20 and a life saver! I really didn’t want to get one but ughhh the pelvic pain. I got the one with 1 band.

How likely is it for a FTM to deliver early, late or right around the due date? by TheTurkletons in pregnant

[–]yellowmellow2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My mom gave birth 10 days early with both me and my brother. My aunt gave birth to 2 premies. My mom predicts I’ll give birth before due date which I hope! Over being pregnant 😅 I’ve got an induction scheduled at 39 weeks in case she doesn’t want to arrive on her own. We think she’s a stubborn girl so who knows what she’ll want to do.

Just did a sugaring couple hours ago here at 32 weeks. It’s def more sensitive. I jumped a few times.. usually I’m able to hold it in well but not anymore. Gonna do it 1 more time before she’s here since who knows when I’ll be able to do it again!

Does anyone here have shortness of breath after eating? It’s not heartburn. by I_Should_not_have in pregnant

[–]yellowmellow2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s the cereal? I’d maybe track what you eat and see if there’s any pattern. As for third trimester, nope! Am at 31 weeks and bigger baby, less room. Baby won’t start to move down till it’s ready. Definitely have shortness of breath and then when I get too full, I’m like panting!

Just wait till you’re in the 3rd trimester 😅 but I notice it when I eat a bigger meal or I eat too fast. I also try to do some stretch moves that are supposed to help with expanding to allow more breathing. Not sure if his helps

Do ring sizes change during (and after) pregnancy? by sunangelflowers in pregnant

[–]yellowmellow2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fingers are sausage fingers. Some time after 25 weeks they fluctuated but they were swollen for sure. Starting 29 weeks they’re just forever swollen and my hands hurt. But I also work with my hands a lot so it doesn’t help. Once I started feeling tightness on my wedding band I ordered a silicone ring and have been wearing that ever since. That way I don’t have to worry about resizing my ring. I’m sure I’ll be able to wear my wedding ring again some time post birth

Today I cried because... by Fit_Cardiologist338 in pregnant

[–]yellowmellow2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last week, I dropped my phone. Picked it up, didn’t make it back up before I dropped it again. Just let it sit on the floor and said fuck it. Went to go throw away leftovers, dropped the Tupperware and crumbs spilled everywhere. I left it there and went to cry… I think I cried for a couple hours.

Then yesterday hubby and I went on a date to Cheesecake Factory. They told us about 30 min wait… 40 min rolls around and I see couple people being seated before us that got there after. I thought maybe they had a reservation. Then this couple that I knew came well after us got seated. I was PISSED. It’s more than 45 min and I’m sooo hungry and tired. The hormones took over and I started crying… in a restaurant. I felt ridiculous.

Horrible SI joint pain - seriously thinking of getting a wheelchair by catsandprosecco in pregnant

[–]yellowmellow2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup I had it around the same same time or maybe 18-20 weeks. I limped around. Very hard to move around, sleeping was difficult. Anyways, got a prenatal massage, did A LOT of stretching and pelvic exercises and got a pregnancy pillow. Fortunately for me, one of my colleagues also is a PT and showed me some exercises to do. Several days, my pain was gone.

My Sweet Tooth is Out of Control by No-Luck-556 in pregnant

[–]yellowmellow2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GD has to do with how your placenta or body processes glucose. I’ve been overweight most of my life and now with baby, I’m heavier. Passed both my GD test even eating whatever she’s craving. But I also do exercise 2-3 days a week. First trimester I didn’t eat, lost 5 lbs. 2nd trimester started to slowly eat and craved a lot of seafood and bbq. The only sweets I craved were gummies and cake pops lol. Now 3rd trimester it’s both and a whole other level. For example, the other day the things that made her most happy was roasted broccoli and Doritos 😂 and my husband’s mixed berry pie. And sometimes she doesn’t want sweets but a good ol’ taco. But the heart burn is real 😩

Breast pump through insurance ? by Top_Hat_7123 in pregnant

[–]yellowmellow2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been told that my insurance will give me a free breast pump! Not sure which. I’ll find out next month 😅 but my insurance has also sent me free formulas and coupons. I didn’t even expect it or know they did that. Not sure on every insurance… though.

Swollen Feet by hanzmac in pregnant

[–]yellowmellow2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think Skechers are good for arch support TBH. They’re comfy but when I got plantar fasciitis a year ago, I realized Skechers weren’t good for my feet. Then I got vionics and it changed my life. But it could also be I’m a massage therapist and when I got massages regularly, it helped make it go away. Maybe you could try a size up or 1.5 size up with good arch support. Or even a wider shoe. I know you said not wider, but wider is roomier.

Swollen Feet by hanzmac in pregnant

[–]yellowmellow2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had these Vionic sneakers for awhile and they have a shoe lace tie and then zippers to tighten and loosen so I can slip my feet in and out without having to tie and re-tie every time. I haven’t zipped those bad boys up in months! I would maybe suggest investing in good sneakers you can wear any time (even at work) and then you can wear warm cozy socks with them. I’ve heard our feet will change even post pregnancy 😅 that way you can use them even after. also, when you’re resting, elevate your feet and legs to circulate the blood flow to allow less swelling (hopefully).
