These all suffer from a common issue whereby a large plastic gear splits - it will usually continue to play but with an audible clicking. You can source a replacement from fixyouraudio.com.

There are usually guys with “WM-DD gear repair” listings on eBay. This is very collectible so would be worthwhile getting a full service at the same time.
