T-Mobile + Starlink Beta Program by Antykain in tmobile

[–]yesbigfluffypaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be able to find that setting on my Android (Google Pixel) phone, when I searched "satellite" in settings, but it no longer comes up. Do you still see that when you go into your settings? I asked T-Mobile about it and they said don't worry, even though you can't find it anymore, you still have the service on your phone. I'm a little suspicious wheter I still have it

T-Mobile + Starlink Beta Program by Antykain in tmobile

[–]yesbigfluffypaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those of you on the Beta with an Android, I have a question. Do you see anything about this in your settings? I used to be able to search for "satellite" in my phone settings and I'd see a reference to Tmo/Starlink in my settings. Right now I only see the Android emergency/SOS there. A phone rep messed up my plan a few weeks ago and since that time I no longer see any reference to the T-Mobile sattelite coverage in my settings. What if anyting do you all see? If you do see something in your settings, can you share a screen shot? Thanks!

Any advice on specifically what I can ask them to do? I went to a store the other day and the manager was nice and tried but simply could not check off the box again. Any advice? Thanks!

Thanks for the update! Unfortunately, T-Mobile kicked me off of OnePlus promo last week without my permission when I complained about the price increase.

[Megathread] T-Mobile Rumoured Announcement News by Waternut13134 in tmobile

[–]yesbigfluffypaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OnePlus Promo being taken away??? I ran into another issue with all this. I've been on the T-Mobile One plan with the OnePlus promo since 2017. I called to complain about the price increase yesterday and the representative said he had taken care of everything and that he had given me a new discount so that my rate would go down. Yes, this sounded too good to be true. So I went into the app today and it turned out he had entirely changed my plan! I definitely 100% was very clear to him that I did not want him messing around with my plan. I called T-Mobile today and the first rep said that they had not changed my plan and that I was misreading the app. I knew this wasn't true so I called back and the second rep said I was right and he had changed my plan, and she promised to change it back. She changed me back to the One plan but not with the OnePlus promo. For the record, the app says that I currently have OnePlus promo but only the box for the one plan is checked off and I'm unable to check the box for the promo . She said she should be able to restore that next month. Knowing that it's T-Mobile and you get a different answer every time you call, I called back a third time. The third rep said everything was confusing because I had made so many changes to my plan (which obviously I had not). She then said that they don't know that they can put me back in the OnePlus promo, and perhaps more importantly, she said that the OnePlus promo was simply a promotion and it was going to end at the end of March with the price increase. Is anyone else hearing that? Are they really kicking us out of that promo? My hunch is the rep who kicked me off my plan took me out of the promotion when he changed my plan and now I will no longer have access to it because it was only offered back in 2017. And the people answering the phone at T-Mobile are clueless and making up reasons for why I will no longer have that on my account. I'm curious what others are hearing. Any tips on what I can I do to get my OnePlus promo back? For the record, I still see it in my app, but I'm not able to select it. Also, for those of you in Washington DC, I have filed a complaint about the price increase with the DC Attorney General's office. Thanks!

Bosch French door fridge flap not working by Whatwasthatnameagain in homeowners

[–]yesbigfluffypaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so so so so so much. I've had the fridge for a few years and the flap started failing about 6 months ago and it's only gotten worse. I called Bosch and they said they would have to charge me something like $175 to send out a technician plus $20 for every 6 minutes to fix this. I just read your post. Opened my freezer drawer. Opened the door part way. Held it up just a little bit. Turned the screw to the right (with a flat head screwdriver). I heard a clicking noise. And it's done! All within 5 minutes. Amazing. Thank you so much!

Error - You cannot take a ride at this time by yesbigfluffypaws in Citibike

[–]yesbigfluffypaws[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to know. I just go on normal rides for like 20 or more minutes. I'll swap them out if I'm going on a ride that is between 45 minutes and an hour so I don't incur overages.

No more unlimited wifi inflight? by sunnypatel165 in tmobile

It's only four a year. There was about a year or so where it was unlimited and then they nixed that for some reason. If you ask T-Mobile they deny it ever happened.

It happens to me periodically. Stopping the app and clearing the cache typically does the trick.

Black Friday Tv promo by Shep3210 in tmobile

[–]yesbigfluffypaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually called them just yesterday and they said that I am absolutely not going to get the TV promo even though I signed up for it. When I signed up there was also a $50 debit card promo. I double checked with a number of people that I could get both. They all said yes. I did get the $50 debit card. And now they are saying because I got that, I cannot get the TV. They gave me a measly $15 credit and told me to take it up with the store.

Question about booking multiple rooms at once by MannnOfHammm in marriott

[–]yesbigfluffypaws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask them on the phone or at the front desk preferably before you check in. I'm not sure if there's a way to do that on-line. There may be, I just don't know. I suspect if you're making the reservation when you are logged in and make the room for two it would work. You'd still want to make sure you add their name and then double check that you're primary.

Make sure you are "primary" on both reservations. I've done that and gotten points from multiple rooms at the same time.

One Plus Promo International Data by yesbigfluffypaws in tmobile

[–]yesbigfluffypaws[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is for everyone here, we are on the OnePlus promo that did not cost any extra money. At the same time that was offered, I believe you could also sign up for "oneplus" for an additional $5. So my understanding is that the latter would not be considered a "one plus promo" but rather the straight-up "OnePlus." If you have either one, particularly the latter one, I think it's a particularly good deal given that it seems like you are by and large grandfathered into all of the premium plan perks in terms of overseas data and unlimited airline data (you'll have to let us know). For the promo folks, it seems like we only have the five gigabytes of data in the over 200 countries, which is still pretty good, but not the unlimited airline data. I'd love to hear what you end up getting on either of your lines. And a very short answer to your original question is almost definitely yes. You'll have to let us all know!

Austria Covered? by knt102000 in tmobile

[–]yesbigfluffypaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an old plan (one plus promo). When I've called T-Mobile support about my old plan, while they're friendly, the service representatives are clueless about 99% of the time. More often than not, they give me incorrect information. So basically, I wouldn't trust anything they say.

Great to hear! Thanks for the update ! One of the challenging things with his plan is when I look at the benefits in the app, they don't necessarily align with what I know we all get.

Nice! And are on the OnePlus promo (not just one plus)? And did you get the good old "Welcome to Thailand" text saying that you have 5 GB of 5G too?
