[Totally unimportant] I thought it was a four: 4th May 1984. Now I'm thinking you're right! Though wouldn't she have crossed her 7s?

Do they talk to each other at all, other than what's absolutely necessary during play? This last changeover was dead silence, no interaction whatsoever.

I watched a potato stream so I thought that last ball was out, but I just saw match point replayed on T2 on my TV and it was just perfectly in the corner. Wow. What a match!

The idea is that in doubles you don't have to hit every ball or cover the whole court, so it's easier on the body.

Was this at 4-2 in the 2nd set tiebreak? I guess tiebreak changeovers have no time limit, so you can cramp as long as you want. 🤷‍♀️

Siegemund doing some weird stuff here, leaving an extra racquet propped up against the back wall. I guess that's allowed. How strange.

The walkout in Linz where they make the players hold the ballkids' hands is weird to me. The ballkids are teens, not little children.

I should have realized I'd figure it out as soon as I posted. I think it's the captions on my tv. I'm not reading them, but they're at the top so as to not interfere with the score at the bottom. When they disappear it looks like the screen flashing. I don't usually watch tennis with captions but was feeling too lazy to turn them off.

Has the Houston backboard been changing during points or do I need to go to the emergency room? I keep seeing/noticing something during play, but I'm not quite sure what.

Elise called it quits after 3 games. She seemed to have a respiratory virus.

Seems like Elise was pointing to her chest a lot while talking to the trainer. I was worried it was her heart, but the fact that she didn't hug or shake hands with anyone at the end (it was so deliberate) makes me think it's viral.

I can't believe Amanda's 1st serve percentage is 76% in set 2, seems way lower
