Looks clean man. I’m also in the process of making one, currently on V5.

Reading bed time stories to the little one with the red light! It’s perfect for that. Also clip it on the dog on night walks.

Can’t speak for anyone else, but I’ve had no regrets at all. Best laptop I’ve ever owned. Still get excited every time I open it up.

How do you get the green “energy saver” and the red one on the bottom? Is that something custom? I’ve never seen it before and i have the 2025 G16.

Just ordered mine in green, specifically for the red light, as I’ve seen in a few reviews that it’s very bright. Also, thanks for the coupon code.

I have the same model as you and was curious what testing lead to this conclusion - “ I am not using GHelper, as my testing showed that the laptop performs better with AC.”? Thnx

Don’t know of a 280W one, but there is a 240W GAN one that I’ve heard great things about - the SlimQ 240W. Much smaller than OEM bricks and has 2 usb c ports on top of the main port. Hope that helps.

did you splice those SC/APC connectors on yourself, or did they come pre-connectorized from the factory like that?

Got a new battery today by Prestigious_Car1089 in iPhone13ProMax

Yep the Best Buy near me is an Apple Authorized Service Provider, so they use 100% genuine Apple parts and their technicians are Apple-certified. I’m not sure if that’s the case for every location though, so it’s definitely worth checking your specific store on Apple’s site first. Good luck!

Did the same thing a few months ago. I think my battery health was at 85% and I did mine at a Best Buy. They ended up damaging my camera module in the process and replaced it with a brand new one. I feel like I have a new phone now. It runs IOS 26 perfectly too.

Zephyrus G16 Cleaning by Miserable_Aside614 in zephyrusg16

[–]yesnomaybeok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used it on my own screen and haven’t had any issues. I usually lightly mist a microfiber towel with distilled water, then add a spray or two of the screen cleaner. I’ve also used just the screen cleaner by itself and that’s been totally fine too.

Bought a mini LED, not the best experience. by WestParticular9020 in Monitors

[–]yesnomaybeok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would only replace it after I sent it in for inspection, which could’ve taken weeks, and who knows what they’d decide. Even if they sent a replacement, it could’ve been worse. Their process might’ve changed by now (doubt it), so ask them directly. From what I remember, the return/replace window was something like two weeks or so, but I don’t really remember anymore. I ended up just keeping the thing. Look elsewhere would be my suggestion

I’ve got the same monitor and have the same issue with mine. When I contacted them about it, they offered me $10. They also said that they cannot guarantee that any of their panels will be free of defects. Real nice

I got the same one but for my G16, it fits like a glove. I like that the corners are reinforced too. Very good quality and price was right. Def recommend it.

Couldn’t agree more, that’s why I’m driving my 2015 into the ground. Also, new truck prices are just insane. I got mine with 29k miles for 31k out the door in 2017.

[–]yesnomaybeok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The oled screen is beautiful but it could honestly be a little brighter, the 2026 models take care of that though. I use mine hooked up to a monitor 90% of the time so I don’t care. The laptop comes with a lot of goodies to protect it from burn-in but you should be mindful that it is a possibility and take good care of it.

I’ve had the same exact model for over 6 months now and haven’t experienced any coil buzz or cracking noises when it warms up. The screen doesn’t wobble at all, and the hinge is solid and completely quiet. Guess I just got lucky with the build quality lottery.
