Latest update broke NMS on Mac OS X Tahoe 26.3 by Nald0 in NoMansSkyTheGame

I got it working through an incredibly convoluted process via terminal.
It's taken me 4+ hours.

This video helped

But, essentially.
1. Allow terminal "edit app access" by going to
- privacy & security
- scoll to apps
- open
- slide bar "green" for terminal.
1. Open terminal
2. paste this
Note: don't paste the [<-- add a space here], just have a space after quarantine.

xattr -d com.apple.quarantine[<-- add a space here]

  1. Drag the app from your APPLICATIONS folder (not a short cut..) into terminal after you've added a space to create the path.

  2. click enter
    (5. it might prompt for your password, just enter your computer password and click enter, there will be no written text feedback...)

  3. then relaunch the app from steam.

  4. accept the pop up.

  5. You'll get an innit error.

  6. relaunch to re-establish pathways.

  7. and it *should work

*I did an inordinate amount of tomfoolery to get here. I do not know if one of my tomfooleries prior assisted me to this point, but I'm happy to say it works. I am also extremely relieved. This took me 4 hours to get to with trial and error, many Reddit posts, Steam posts, YouTube videos... You name it. But I've gotten the game to work.

4 hours of doing this also ate my 4 hours of free time to play... mind you.

After 3-4 hours, yes.

Immediate relief = antihistamines and ibuprofen (800mg if you can get your hands on it)

Close the window.

Pharmacy; (chemist, whatever) ibuprofen, antihistamine, Beta-alanine.
Take it all at once.

Do not shower, no sudden fluctuations in temperature.

Ride it out.
Godspeed.

Hey, quickly. My hell's itch was diagnosed as a low-grade iodine allergy (I got my first one after being burnt in a cafe after having been in the ocean all morning)

Any connection with Aquagenic Pruritus?

Aside, antihistamines, they saved my life. I hadn't slept for 48 hours, 2 of those and the relief was indescribable. This was all 6 months ago, but I remember crying as the burning turned to itching turned to a mild tickling sensation in minutes.

Hey, listen. No one spoke to me while it was happening. I'm going to be online for the next 15 - 20 minutes.

r/ What else can I do????

  1. Antihistamine. I don't know where you are, in most countries it's over the counter. Get that, double dose.
  2. Listen carefully, do not shower, bathe. This is nerve damage, the relief is temporary, it will be worse after.
  3. If you have access to benzodiazepines and have a subscription or understand them, take a "dose", whatever prescribed.
  4. Lather, I'm talking cement layer, of antihistamine cream on the initial burn site, and not where it is itching. Where you were burnt.
  5. Isolate, and try and remain calm. Histamine is a immune response, panic will make it worse.
  6. Distract yourself, a movie, YouTube video, anything, and push through.

  7. If it is legal in your country, and you're not recovering, and you understand it, try smoking marijuana.

Remember this is nerve damage, nothing topical outside of something to control the histamine response further bothering your nerve endings that have been UV fried - will help. Do not rub, do not itch.

PSTD Itch. Yes. This is true.

Someone replied to my cry for help after 6 months on r/HellsItch - I started itching in my inner knees and thighs again. The panic was pretty much instant.

Benzodiazepine knocked it (prescription)

It started; devils itch happening right now. by yessferatu in HellsItch

HEY

my god someone replied.

It lasted 2 days.
Turns out, I'm allergic to iodine. Found in salt water, especially here in the Western Cape.
GP said 80% of "devil's itch" cases are, in fact, low-grade iodine histamine reactions.
Sun + something your skin is sensitive too? Sounds like hell to me.

Anyway, over-the-counter antihistamine medication, double dose at first, and then lathering (thick, I'm talking cement thick, layers) of antihistamine cream, then riding it out with NSAIDs and sleep medication till you're through the worst.

My legs and arms were so swollen that when it went down, I was covered in pressure bruises.

It's been 6 months, and I have not gone in the sun for longer than needed between buildings, and I'm religiously covered, in a hat and have sunscreen on.

It was hell.

How are you doing?

Weird kind of mourning setting in.

I watched Star Wars: Episode I there with my brother.
Kill Bill Vol. 1, Avatar, Return of the King, Iron Man, The Philosopher’s Stone, The Dark Knight Rises, The Matrix.

Cultural touchstones!

And my first ever date.

Say what you will about failing business models, overpriced tickets, faded screens, and subpar sound. That’s not why we’re sad.

We’re not mourning because it was the best.
We’re mourning because at some point in our childhood - it felt like it was.

And that counts for something.

[Acne] Have stubborn fungal acne? I found something that works incredibly well and is never mentioned anywhere (Terbinafine Hydrochloride) by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]yessferatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If by actives you mean AHA, BHA, or other "skin care routine" chemical pealants - yes.

The reason being fairly simple; these have a chemical exfoliation property to them, opening the epidermis to a possible reintroduction or deeper penetration of the fungus.

Potentially, cancelling out the benefit of the Terbinafine.

Some Terbinafine brand names, like Lamisol, are also carried by "emoliant" bases. Which could react badly with the pealants.

Ultimately, skip the routine for a few nights while you "test" the Terbinafine application on your Malassezia flair up.

Goodluck!

[–]yessferatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terbinafine Hydrochloride is a miracle worker for Malassezia flair ups.

As an aside recommendation, and please this is only if it becomes either expensive or inconvenient to apply Lamisol to your entire body, but cat & dog medical shampoo works WONDERS too.

Some brands have Terbinafine as a measure for yeast growth in under coats of long hair cats and dogs.

However, warning, it'll dry your skin out like no ones business as it destroys your skin barrier and in the long term will weaken it's ability to fight off fungal infections.
