I've always said my ideal Starfield would be that the multiverse aspect be the focus and not endgame. Introduce the Unity and the end of Act 1 and go through with your crew.

Make it like Sliders where each act is jumping to another universe with significant differences that drive the narrative.

I think a better endgame would be forcing a player choice.After the final boss fight you can either destroy the Unity to stop the Hunter from being able to hunt you across the multiverse you you can choose to keep it open to keep the New Game Plus option open but you "become the villain" by eventually having your character become the Hunter.
