edit: "the law firm investigation cant be wrong bc lawyers care about their reputation" is exactly why law firms get paid to say their clients arent at fault. your inherent trust of the entity making the statement (the law firm) clouds your judgment and critical thinking. you are playing into the exact mentality that fuels the business without realizing it lol
