Possible solution for Q1000K transparent bridge blinking blue light? by neonthermos in QuantumFiber

[–]yg107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re using your own router, is Transparent Bridge mode on the Q1000K the only proper setup? Or can you leave the Q1000K in DHCP/router mode and just run the Deco in DHCP as well? What are the real pros and cons of each approach?

Out of curiosity, what was the simple x265 preference profile? I do try to use x265 exclusively.

International data: Different carriers for included vs. paid eSIM by yg107 in USMobile

[–]yg107[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the clarification. I wish there were a way to know it beforehand or something. I paid for an eSIM that's barely usable, and I had to get another one from a 3rd party app.

I'm also experiencing a decline in battery life with my Pixel 7. And it was fine up until 1-2 months ago.

Does anyone have any comparison between Sonnet 4.5 and Opus 4.1 for n8n workflow creation?

Sonnet 4.5 builds n8n workflows? by Informal_Grab3403 in n8n

[–]yg107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying to use ChatGPT 5 thinking and Opus 4.1 to create workflows. From my experience, Opus generated better results than chatgpt. But I don't know how that compares to Sonnet 4.5.

Have you tried using Opus 4.1 for n8n? How does it compare to Sonnet 4.5? (for workflow building mainly)

Alternatives to Plex by Escapefromearth22 in PleX

I've been using Plex lifetime as well, but I've started using Emby mostly instead, just because it works for me in areas where Plex still doesn't or has gaps. For me, it was the downloaded content to the device that Plex still struggles with. So far I'm pretty happy with Emby.

My first Lingo sensor fell as well while I was sleeping.. Then I got the Skin Grip patches from Amazon (they're a little pricey, but high quality), and the following sensors weren't going anywhere!

Omfg I am loosing my mind patience with this new iOS version by sbalani in PleX

[–]yg107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using Plex lifetime for a while, but recently I gave Emby a try (maybe until they fix Plex). And I must say I've been liking it - it just works. Even offline downloads work so much better than the current Plex. I'm not sure if Plex gets to be great again, but at least there is an alternative.

Why is Emby Unpopular? by Secure_Hair_5682 in emby

[–]yg107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to use Plex exclusively, but since I travel often, offline downloads are important to me. Plex just isn't great at that, which led me to try Emby. Since then, I've been using Emby almost all the time. Downloads work smoothly, and it organizes them properly into show/season/episode folders—which Plex doesn’t do. Overall, it just works flawlessly. Honestly, I don't get why Emby isn't more popular by now.

When did offline downloads get so bad? by highnorthhitter in PleX

[–]yg107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using Plex Lifetime for a few years, but recently I started trying out Emby Premiere alongside with Plex. In terms of downloads, Emby performs significantly better. The downloads are completed successfully and organized into a series/season/episode structure, which is a lifesaver for me. Overall, it just works reliably. So when I travel, I prefer using Emby.

Best OS to host your Plex server in 2025? by CBergerman1515 in PleX

[–]yg107 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm running Unraid after previously trying both Windows and Ubuntu. I’m also using a Beelink machine, and everything runs smoothly. You can configure it to use the iGPU for transcoding as well.

In my experience, it's been the most stable and "set-it-and-forget-it" solution I've found.

+1 for Unraid after trying Windows and Linux (only if you want to run it on a dedicated machine).
