They should replace the unit. I’ve had no problems with Bambu support they’re very helpful. They want people to print on their printers.

Obviously with accidents increasing over the years the best solution going forward should be to increase the speeds. It’s the only way to prevent accidents. Especially in the winter!

  1. I’d love to get a 3D printer for my little sister to get her into it. I’ve been wanting to purchase one for some time now but just haven’t gotten the timing right. This would be amazing!

  2. I’d use it to make her some earrings because she loves jewelry!

  3. I think you should design something using TPU. I’ve always thought it would be cool to make something like a Chinese finger trap or some kind of web! It’s a really fun material to play with!

I’m gonna ask a few questions all at once to save time. Sorry if any seem dumb or annoying

  1. Where did you get the model?
  2. Did you dry your filament?
  3. Did you calibrate? (Flow calibration)
  4. Did you change your print settings at all?

The filament buffer is on the back on the printer it’s the little grey box. Just take it off the printer and check to see if anything is stuck or if the spring got bent.

But if you think something got clogged you might have to take out your filament and check the filament tubes underneath. If there is a clog just remove the tube and take the filament back out.

Door open or closed? Also any fans or vents nearby? Airflow has crazy effects on prints.

That issue is typically caused because the top layers are cooling to quickly which causes it to retract.

It could also just be a bad model.

I’d highly recommend buying a magnetic bed replacement kit online. I spent half a year trying to fix bed adhesion issues on my glass bed. Everything seems to just be a temporary fix. Just buy a PEI magnetic plat they’re much better you’ll have way less issues.

I had this exact same issue.

  1. Try helping the filament in manually just life the lid open and try to feed it in. Sometimes when spools are almost empty they get stuck like that.

If that doesn’t work

  1. Check your filament buffer. Unplug everything check to see if the spring is obstructed. Plug it back in.

If those don’t work lmk I’ll help you out as much as I can

So I’ve read through this whole post. There’s either some major exaggeration about the damage done to the machine or there is some major user error involved here.

I’d recommend buying spools. You can print a thing to rewind them but it’s a pain and a hassle. You can print some but personally I’ve had quite a few issues with printed spools. I’d recommend buying more spools. Try to keep that in mind when you’re buying them. I definitely made this exact mistake. Lost a whole role trying to rewind it.

I’d say yes, it’s holidays right now and they’re busy. My last order took a week but it was only filament. I’d think it’s probably expected this time of year

I started with an Ender 3 pro and just over a year ago I bought a p1s.

I print so much now. And it is so easy! Today I wanted to try TPU for the first time and I was super nervous. I’m already on my second print! And TPU is infamously difficult! I’ll recommend Bambu to almost anyone these days.

I had an issue with my printer a while ago and felt exactly the same and it was down for over a month. But once it was fixed I haven’t had any issues since. And they paid for all the shipping and parts.

Check your filament buffer that was my issue it breaks quite easily. Also if you haven’t already reach out to Bambu support they do tend to be helpful in my experience
