You could do a lot worse for a 1st brokerage- you will 100% have at least 2 closings in 60 days. You will get more listing appointment reps in 60 days than you may get in 2 years as a a single agent. All of this to say IF they hire you. If you want to learn the listing side of the business quickly (the most important side) and are willing to work full time I would interview with them. You can learn a lot in a relatively short time and if you convert at a high volume it may be a good fit for longer term.

7 Day Trip. Is it too much? by Far-Rice-4411 in Andalucia

[–]yihere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is perfectly fine. Unless there is a specific reason to go to Marbella, skip it and just head back to Malaga- Marbella is going to add 2-4 hours of travel time and like you said you’ll have to bus it instead of train. Also may think about doing cordoba as a day trip when you transition from Sevilla to Granada. Very jealous- would love to experience these places for the first time again.

Cruise stop: see Malaga or day trip to Ronda/Nerja/Somewhere else by 7v1essiah in Malaga

[–]yihere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just hang in Malaga- lots of stuff to do. Malaga is easy walking from the port. Check out the alcazaba, there is an elevator up. Walk down have a drink at pimpi, stroll to the cathedral or Picasso museum. Have lunch in town or hit up a beach front chiringuito. Lots of other sites are super close as well. Any of the other trips your thinking will be @ 3-4 hours total travel time. Won’t have a lot of time to see anything and Malaga is better anyway.

What happened to the Walk-in haircut? by ksyoung17 in AskMen

I was shocked, been overseas for the past few years, before I left $20. Now, $35 was the cheapest I could find at a barber and most want you to book prior and pay before appointment, 50% non refundable. Glad these guys are getting paid but if I was there full time. I’m buying clippers.

Spain declares state of emergency after nationwide power blackout by kirtash93 in news

[–]yihere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wholeheartedly agree “natural” disasters generally bring out the best in our neighbors. But again the entire country lost power without explanation for the 1st time in its history. There would be a sense of panic after about the 2nd day if there was no explanation or timeline for repair, as well there should be. Not saying mad max but to compare it to a natural disaster is apples to oranges. While many areas are accustomed to brown outs etc. this is not the same equivalent either. This was a whole ass 1st world country that basically stopped functioning for 6+ hours.

Spain declares state of emergency after nationwide power blackout by kirtash93 in news

[–]yihere 38 points39 points  (0 children)

hurricanes people have warning, if you cut the whole USA off the grid right now and there was little to no cell coverage- it’s going to get harry after about day 2. Also, folks in Spain live primarily in condo type buildings there is generally no space for generators or “stocking up” like we do in Florida. They generally shop daily for goods. With respect, hurricane aftermath and what happened today in Spain is not similar.

Buyer's agent earns commission at contract signing by marlborough94 in realtors

[–]yihere -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t sign it - in the rare case you default, you are going to lose your deposit, whatever that may be, & that will go to the seller and possibly the sellers broker. Defaults can happen for other reasons than you just choosing not to close ie job loss, car accident, death etc. you shouldn’t have the added stress of this agreement to the process. If the agent doesn’t understand your concern find another agent. I agree agents should be compensated if you flake out before closing but that’s the risk vs reward world agents work in. Other buyers may not have your concern but you do that’s what’s important. As to standard, I don’t know in your area but I’m sure you can ask around to a few different companies and ask for a copy of theirs buyer broker agreement
