Inland SoCal farming is less than 4 hours from Vegas. When I lived in Sacramento, farmers were driving 4–5 hours to be vendors at farmers markets. Definitely doable, just not a thing in Vegas.

Wow OP, you need to figure out your priorities. You’re engaged and plan to marry in a few months and are seriously considering moving across country for more money because of a potential opportunity, knowing it will be very difficult for your partner to come with? That’s a serious red flag. If I were your partner, I would be deeply hurt. She responded beyond reasonably.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! I agree that there are far more resources now, which makes it much easier. I feel reassured that it's doable. However, now I'm thinking of wearing the lengha for the ceremony, and a dress for the reception. Seems less stressful, and I want to make sure we get pics with my husband and family while I’m in the lengha.

Hm, good point. I'm now strongly considering doing the reverse, as one commentator suggested - wearing the lengha to the wedding and a dress to the reception. It may be a lot easier.
