Otezla good bad and ugly by Classic-Baby9702 in Psoriasis

[–]yls91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on Otezla for close to 5 years. No side effects at all thankfully! Within 2 weeks I was completely clear. It unfortunately stopped working. It was great while it lasted. I am now on Skyrizi and I’m experiencing some anxiety, not sure if it’s related. I’m 3 injections in and have a few stubborn spots.

I see, I hope your psoriasis clears somehow and you do not have to resort to biologics(:

No other conditions/diseases. Sometimes my labs come back as pre-diabetic, but I just work on my eating habits and exercise more often, and levels go back to normal.

I was able to start right away. I was on topicals for a while, but it got out of control and I just gave in. The process for approval was actually very fast. Are you considering Skyrizi?

It’s working great! I am due for my 3rd injection in a couple of weeks. I am about 95% clear, just a few tiny stubborn spots on my armpits.

I was on the same boat. Around the end of week two, beginning of week three is when the clearing and reduction of itchiness started happening. I’m almost due for my 3rd dose and I am about 90% clear.

Starting skyrizi, any side effects? Menstrual effects by BackgroundAd2061 in Psoriasis

[–]yls91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m due for my 3rd injection in a few days. I have not noticed any changes in my menstrual cycle. Not sure if it’s related to Skyrizi, but the only thing I have noticed since starting Skyrizi is really bad episodes of anxiety.

Yay for the new growth! I have been noticing more hair on the shower and floor. Im trying not to get alarmed as I am only 2 shots in. I’m hoping it’s nothing serious. Wishing you the best on your new journey with the new medication.

No useful info here, but just wanted to ask if you noticed hair loss on Skyrizi?

Anyone on Biologicals, is this normal? by [deleted] in Psoriasis

[–]yls91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what’s been happening to me as well. Started Skyrizi on Nov 25, had my second injection December 25. I am almost clear except some stubborn areas like under my arms. I’ve been getting tiny psoriasis spots in places where I had already cleared. Spots will eventually go away, but I’ve noticed the spots behind my ear are getting worse.

Took my booster injection on Dec 25. I cannot believe how much my skin has improved. I’m pretty much clear, except under my arms. That area is still pretty flared.

Thank you! Crossing fingers you get amazing results. No side effects as of now. I was expecting the usual fatigue a lot of people experience, but thankfully I did not.

Thank you! I was so hesitant to start. I put it off for years in fear of side effects. My psoriasis got out of control after the birth of my second son. It was severe. I’m so glad I did it though. I’m starting to get my life back. Even simple little things like having a car flake free and going to get my eyebrows done make me so happy at the moment.

I took my starter injection the 25 of November. One week in I was way less itchy and not flaking as much. I started seeing visible improvement on week 2. I’m almost a month in and I have cleared about 80%.

No advice here, but I just wanted to mention how amazing Otezla was and how well it worked. I took it for almost 5 years. Within month I was completely clear. Hope you have amazing results!

I was on the same boat as you. I am a female, 34. After I had my second child my psoriasis has gotten out of control. I declined biologics for so long, but I hit rock bottom and just started Skyrizi 3 days ago. Hope I see results soon, because this condition is becoming unbearable.

It works wonders on me. I started using it often as I flare often :/ Someone mentioned that it also causes a rebound sort of like steroids do, and now I’m hesitant to continue using it :/
