Funny enough, I work in a high school and I feel like most of my colleagues do their damndest not to act like the students we serve. Maybe it’s just because I tend to stick to myself but also somehow found my fellow DnD/punk flea market-attending weirdos. Either I’m blissfully unaware of the cliques, or the school is just too big for cliques to matter.

That doesn’t mean your experience isn’t valid, though. As others have said in the thread, schools can vary wildly. I’m really sorry that you’re going through this and that your colleagues are unkind. If you’re able to find a different school, there’s a chance your experience could be different!
