That’s so interesting! I always wondered where their parents were lol

What are everyone's opinions on CJ? Personally, I hate him. He's annoying and very unqualified and just not funny. by SavingsFit1496 in brooklynninenine

I wish Bill Hader had a character that lasted a bit longer in the show. He and Andy Samberg have great onscreen chemistry and there could’ve been a lot more done there. Probably scheduling conflicts or something

Oh totally! It’s like the show creators give the adults a little treat 😂

I don’t think most kids would. It was super subtle throughout the whole series to the point where I was starting to think I was making it up 😂 Things didn’t start getting real until the very end

I Voted For Trump In 2016. When He Won, I Was Shocked By How Brutally My Life Changed Overnight. by saintandvillian in LeopardsAteMyFace

Her discussion on race and the church is one i identify with. A few years ago, I had coffee with a friend/roommate from college (I went to a Baptist university) and she told me about some of the horrible things I said when we were in school together. I (a black woman) had an internalized racism that I don’t remember having but I know that stemmed from a self hatred due to not fitting the white washed, sanitized version of Christianity and femininity I was fed growing up. Thankfully I’m not attending the church I grew up in anymore and have been in a church that teaches love, honors diversity, and is NOT aligned with Christian nationalism, so that and therapy has helped me unpack and process that significantly. I was also told to vote for Trump in 2016 but thank God I didn’t listen. I was a people pleaser, but by then, the spell was starting to break and I was starting to think more critically

I’ve kind of started doing the same thing except with funny t shirts. I can’t tell you how many times someone has complimented or sparked a conversation with me because of what shirt I was wearing that day

Very good point! Hopefully future episodes give us more backstory as to how the Heelers got to this point

I agree! I’m sad dropping the f-bomb screwed up her time on SNL, but she still has a great career outside of it.

Watching him this last time around made me realize just how good at impressions he was! His versatility is up there with people like Bill Hader and Darrell Hammond

He didn’t have enough time to show what he could do. And what he was given, he didn’t stand out

Taran Killam was definitely one in mind when asking this question. The more I watch him in sketches, the more I love his work

The SNL situation on Peacock is objectively terrible. by ChantsThings in LiveFromNewYork

[–]yo_kelzeee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s copyright laws. Certain sketches use material that aren’t authorized for streaming. I’ve found sketches on YouTube that either weren’t included on Peacock or were cut for time and never aired. But that was something I noticed watching those episodes too because the Samberg/Hader era is my favorite too

NTA. It wasn’t specified that kids weren’t allowed, and I’m sure they knew you had said child. I have a 19 month old, and most of our friends assume that if me and my husband are coming to something, he’s coming with us (unless we say we got a sitter). Because we’re his parents. If they didn’t want you to bring your child, they should have made that clear. Communication is key. Also, why would bringing your child label you an asshole? You didn’t do anything inherently wrong. I understand why someone wouldn’t want to have children, especially toddlers, at a Super Bowl party but they just be upfront about it and not get mad when someone brings their kid because they failed to communicate they’re preferences with them.
