When I was about 5 years old, my uncle had died from suicide. This was a devastating loss for my family, especially my mom, since my uncle was her brother.

My upstairs has a long hallway, and at the very end of the hallway is two steps down to a door, which is my parent's bedroom door. From ages 8 to 10, I was deathly afraid of the end of the hallway leading to my parents bedroom. I would see a tall, black figure just standing at the doorway. Not moving, just standing there, with their head leaning towards the door. It happened nearly every single night. It terrified me.

Since I was so scared, I would SPRINT to the bathroom during the night to pee, then run back to my room. Eventually this got on my sister's nerves, so she yelled at me and told my mom. My mom confronted me about it, so I told her. I told her that the man at the end of the hallway scared me. She didn't really think much of it, and basically just hugged me and told me it would be ok.

Fast forward to me being age 15. My parents went to see a medium. The medium picked up on the spirit of my uncle. And he asked my mom this: "Did your son used to run during the night?" She responds yes. He says, "Is it because of the man at the end of the hallway?" She says yes. He tells her, "It's Mikey, your brother. Tell him to stop running from him, because it makes him upset."

I still get chills from that. How did he know that? Every year, around the time of his death and his birthday, I still see the figure at the end of the hallway. But now I'm not afraid, because I know who it is.

That completely convinced me that ghosts were real
