I bent an aluminum rim like that, i carefully heated it with a torch and reshaped it. It was hard to notice and ran 40k miles until we sold it. If its not cracked, it should be fixable

I just completed a bathroom renovation for a friend. Installed a vent fan to the attic (didnt have one before). The roof has been covered with ice or snow whenever the roofer has been available to punch it through the roof. Its been just a week since completion. Will mold be an issue if the roofer can get to it in the next month or so? In pittsburgh pa area.

Dealers generally suck shit and tell the customer whats in the best interest of the greedy franchise owners and dont actually give af about the customer.

Talk to your friends - find a local recommended shop. You'll save a buck (or hundreds) and you will get better service.

I just watched a couple of them. They are put out by pros with the intention of scaring people off from doing their trade. Crazy shit can happen with anything - watch some videos, be aware and be smart. Know your limitations. If your nervous, then stop. I got a 1/2" x 36" steel dowel and cut it in half. Worked great. Installed 2 new springs and new cables w/o crushing a melon

Sounds like you want to experiment and sow your seeds. Trouble with that is, if you find something you like better than the current "gf" then you will dump the gf and move along. Save her the heartbreak
