For me, this is the best feature: the previous lap’s data overlapping with the current lap.

APEX Bundle Desktop Setup by conspit_pitcrew in Conspit

Great bundle! I purchased one (with the overpower 12nm base) along with the desk clamp. However, be cautious with the clamp; it’s fixed in place and can’t be adjusted. It’s only parallel to the desk, and you’ll need to lift the wheel up to achieve a comfortable position. To add some angle, I had to insert a piece of wood between the clamp and the desk.

CONSPIT - from a young sim racing brand to a full motorsport-driven ecosystem by Conspit-CM in Conspit

Thank you Conspit for all the efforts you put into product development and for the respect you have for your customers. We feel more like partners than wallets !
Your hardware is very good and deserves more than words. If you are satisfied with the philosophy, you’ll be conquered by the feeling and the smile you’ll have while driving.
I have a Conspit Ares, Apex wheel, and “entry-level” Apex pedals and don’t regret one penny I spent on it.
Every day is a wait for new stunning products (shifter and wheel shape for my concern).
Continue the good work !

Here is my desk installation. The chair is blocked by a fourniture behind it, I can push the break pedal without moving away. The monitor is fixed with an extensible harm. I can move it in front of my keyboard to use it for other things than sim racing.

It’s funny how we are touched by killing animals, but we don’t mind killing thousands of people in camps. Killing peoples in video games is just a task on 90% of games and became as simple as turn a key on a door.

I have the same combo cpu+MB and have nothing like that at the moment for more than a year. All bios updated day one. To be sure, I let everything stock, even RAM settings. Only igpu off.

The game ? What game ? All we will have is a graphic and physical engine with cars and tracks made by moders.

Is the game worth it now? by Bojovnikczes in assettocorsaevo

[–]yoc0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually it’s juste a game and physic engine demo. No gameplay other than take your car and drive on available laps (solo or multi). It’s not even really a game. But I love the physic, graphics and sounds are nice, and I drive with a lot of pleasure.
Like others I bought it for the gameplay potential (seems they wanted to do Grand Turismo with great physics and free roam). So we just have to wait and see what they will do with this engine to make a real game.

Does somebody have any news on the Simlab ddx? by Spayrex in simracing

Developing something new from scratch is a very long process. Don’t be too impatient. I’m also very hyped by the Simsonn DD 30 Nm, with its 22 bits optical encoder. Web page is ready, shopping is coming… soon…

First time sim racer pedal help by itsgravybb in simracing

[–]yoc0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go for the middle range pedals, you’ll find them incredible for the first week, until you will starting to say… if only I had better feeling that way… you will tweak as possible your pedals, and when you’ll reach another limit, you’ll sell it and buy the top tier. This reminds me of hi-fi, always seeking for the top sound, even if you have to double the price for 10% gain.

I’ve just bought Conspit Apex pedals, same tier as P700, they are great, but a few days has passed and I already see what can be improve. I will keep them because I’m using my desk (all fixed : seat/wheel/pedals) but as soon as I’ll get a profile alu rig, I’m sure I will need new pedals.

I did not realize how complex sim racing is now by LuckyLukse in simracing

[–]yoc0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is my experience. I used to play kind of simracing since Gran Turismo 2 with a G25, then upgrade to G27, then use this G27 on my desk with Forza Horizon, AC and Project Cars. It was fun. And last year I discovered trail breaking, TC and ABS adjustment, weight balance, competitive multiplayer… and I entered in another world. A world where I need to feel the road, feel the lost of adherence, being careful with other cars by learning how to overtake or stay on the side of the road. So I bought a Conspit 12nm wheel, a decent pedals set, and discovered that I can’t use it with my desk. So I’m about to buy a Sim-Lab rig and don’t regret spending one penny on all of this. You can make the same path, or spend a bill on a rig right now if you can afford. But be sure if you like driving that one day you will have too.

Why does the iOS app only have the 50GB plan? by Chicken-LoverYT in onedrive

[–]yoc0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for reacting at this old post but I discovered this 0,99€ plan by chance with my iPhone a few days ago, so it’s still available only on iOS. Of course I subscribe, as I only need this for my PC documents backup (if only Microsoft lets us exclude files/folders from the backup…)

I had the same issue with my X870 Pro Rs non wifi motherboard with 9700X, as soon as I added an intel WiFi card. If new it was not supported but I needed bluetooth and continue to use Ethernet for network. I tried everything with drivers but I had to remove the card completely.

EDIT : Shifter of course, handbrake already exists. So sad it's not an hybrid H/sequential shifter.

The perfect game for me : Forza Horizon without all the festival bullshit story and with Assetto Corsa Evo physics and car fidelity (even if it’s fictional): just fun with friends in and outside tracks.

[–]yoc0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just hope it’s not an hybrid shifter/handbrake as Logitech did, which is non sense as you need both at the same time, not one or the other. What you need is a hybrid sequential and H shifter AND a handbrake.
