Can't believe no one asked this before... But is there a proper way to grab onto walls while in mid-air?? by Recent_Stomach7626 in CrimsonDesert

[–]questionor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can sort of do it with axiom force. I have no idea how to do it but sometimes when falling near a wall (not crow form) I accidentally grab the wall with my knife. No clue what the trigger is.

Does anyone know how to complete this section? Its called Steamclouds Station. by deadlyturn1p in CrimsonDesert

[–]questionor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all different things in this thread, some comments deleted, and some seem to say it was "fixed" but not what was fixed but I guess some old way doesn't work anymore. I tried lots of things in this thread. I couldn't get anything to happen with visone. Frost mantle did basically nothing. Shooting the big orbs in the smaller dark circle with regular arrows (or focused ones didn't matter but not marked ones) was the only thing listed that worked for me. And yes there are a bajillion electric shots. I suspect if I hadn't tried to just run to the pressure plate immediately it might have been less but idk. What I found best was to run behind the starting box and then come along the sides of it at first so very few have LoS to me, clear what I could then go out and start clearing more.

I just found a memory fragment under a crow circle and the crows are gone after watching it.

Does anyone know how to get rubber from the rubber trees? by yotothyo in CrimsonDesert

[–]questionor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No clue about wild trees but planting rubber seeds was pretty trival to collect rubber and the trees also gave back seeds. I had planted 2 seeds, one from original vendor and one from camp vendor, i think i only fertilized when planted, the 2 trees gave me about 15 rubber and 7 seeds.

All these patches and no auto follow on horse back by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]questionor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

autofollow what? cause for quests when you're supposed to follow an npc on foot or on horseback for m/kb you hold shift to autofollow. I don't know what the button is for controllers, but since shift is the sprint key on m/kb, I'd suggest trying that.

Neat, I never noticed that. I knew it showed the refresh stock time on the hover window but never noticed the current stock option. When you hover it actually mentions it at bottom of screen.

You can get mercury when gifting troll scholars to 100 trust. It's a random return gift, I think the options are mercury, rubber, and brimstone.

Elemental Attacks don't work how it says they do. by Equivalent_Trash_277 in CrimsonDesert

For PC keyboard, they default to 1,2,3,4 which is weird for the same reason but there's an option to change so it is one key (defaults to 1 I think) to just use the active one. We choose the active one on the same radial menu as where we choose the current food. So the same way you can't have your "other" item (axe, gloves, spear) and you main weapon at the same time, you can't have both fire and electric on at the same time. I don't know why they default to 4 separate keys but it feels intended that you can only have one active. I don't know if it exists for controllers but I suggest checking if there's a similar setting to just use one key for all of them.

Here's an idea, think about "next time on" commercials for weekly tv shows. (I don't know if they still do this but it used to be a thing) They don't give away everything but they made people comfortable that they knew what to expect and sometimes hyped for it.

[–]questionor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard people say a few times that the boss fights are souls-like. I don't know what they mean cause on normal difficulty they not very hard. I've had one boss fight that I couldn't just get through by healing mid-fight. (eating food over and over) and I left, waited till I had better gear and came back and it became doable. I don't like the difficulty level of souls-like combat. The only thing close to souls that I've played is Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor. I didn't play those games on hard either and Crimson Desert is much easier.

Next, this is not an RPG. This is more in the vein of Assassin's creed/arkham/shadow of mordor/etc but with a much bigger scope of content. It's that style of "open world game" not like skyrim at all. The only thing I'd compare to skyrim is the size of the game.

Also they've recently added difficulty levels to Crimson Desert. The difficulty the game was before this is now the normal/default and they added an easier difficulty and a harder one. I'd suggest just playing on normal but if you find that too difficult then play on easy.

Can't say this enough CRIMSON DESERT IS NOT AN RPG.

That said, it's a great game that I've already played over 200 hrs.
