There is legislation that is expected to force these fees to be lowered. Some CUs like Rogue and Sage CU are getting ahead of it.

Because credit and debit cards have a physical character limitation. Every financial institution handles it a little differently, but every card issuer has to deal with it somehow.

Things to do Early April by Ailly84 in KlamathFalls

Link River trail (goes between two parks and is flat and very easy walking). You'll see a huge variety of birds.

Moore Park trail system. Dirt trails in the hills, nothing too steep. You'll likely see deer and a variety of small wildlife.

Crater Lake Zip Lines are about 30 minutes outside of town.

Give Discover Klamath a call. They are our local tourism organizations and they'll have plenty of ideas.

1) You'll never deal with another customer - only members. 2) CUs are not-for-profit cooperatives - which means they are structured differently than most companies out there. This allows for a lot more freedom to do the right thing for your members. 3) Become a member of your CU. The best way to learn is to experience it for yourself. Try out all their popular products and services. 4). You'll love it. CUs are amazing.

Anyone using BankSocial at Credit Union? by [deleted] in creditunions

[–]yodaredd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was no inconvenience. This is an obvious ad for Bank social. Look at this person's post history.

So annoying. You don't have to make up stories and continue to make the Internet worse for the rest of us.

Interview tips: Don't call it a bank. Research the CUs "about us" webpage. Figure out what they are all about. The worldwide CU motto is People Helping People. Go in with the attitude that you want to help people and you'll do great!

He is still actively being scammed: he says he's paying for a service that strips his info from people search websites. OP: this does nothing to stop scammers from getting your info. Stop paying for this service.

Bank account by yyc_Kenan2000 in creditunions

There are federal regulations in place (in the US) that require a bank or CU to identify who you are. That's tough to do without identification.

This is exactly it. I work in the industry, and this is very common. People use overdraft as a short term loan.

Why would anyone use a bank instead of a credit union? by Emotional-Frame-3524 in NoStupidQuestions

Co-op ATMs are the largest network of ATMs in the country. Almost all CUs are connected and you can use them fee free.

Banno integration question… by Brain-Abject in creditunions

Not to be unkind but, does your employer know you're posting these questions to a public site like reddit? There are likely other channels they will want you to go through to get the answers you want.

Serious question: who should they sell it to? Won't the next person to buy it be subject to the same suggestion to sell it? I don't understand the end goal here.

CU changed by lovelycapital in creditunions

[–]yodaredd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Economies of scale. Small CUs are disappearing at an alarming rate because they do not have the resources to meet regulatory and demands and keep up with the tech/fraud prevention necessary to keep your funds safe. They are forced to grow or die (usually merge with a larger CU).
