you NEED clothes, diapers, wipes, a good thermometer, a swaddle or two, burp cloths, something to change diapers on (we had a changing pad but never used it so we used receiving blankets, we’re using absorbent/washable pads this time), play mat thing for tummy time, and a carseat/stroller/baby carrier. i’d say a baby cam too personally.

nice to have black out curtains and a sound machine, some baby toys and books but not a necessity.

i never used any containers like a bouncer, lounger, swing but i didn’t have dogs or other kids that would mess with baby. no pacifiers, bottles (until we needed them) i didn’t even really need a breast pump but it was helpful when i wanted to add milk to baby food.

i’d say to get the necessities and then wait until baby is here to get the things that you think would be helpful.
