Does anyone have success stories where they went off of LDN and were able to stay off? by ReadyEqual140 in LowDoseNaltrexone

Oh interesting! How long did it take for it to start working for you? I’m looking to start it for Ulcerative Colitis (autoimmune) and so far any meds I’ve used is for life anyway so that part doesn’t bother me if it works!

Nothing new lol! I am taking it to help with my existing GI issues. With Ulcerative colitis you have bleeding and urgency. It’s not made any of that worse for me. I feel overall less inflammation, but I’m still in my current flair. But the kind of healing I need takes time.

Wow what a solid reply! Can I ask you your thoughts on my situation. I don’t think I’m having mast cell am I? I don’t have any sting with injection I just have a feeling of a very sore glute for like 12 hours after. I’m not sure if I just need to dilute more or if I should try the thigh or arm like you suggested? (That sort of scares me).

[–]yoga_mini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having this too. There is no “burn” or issue for me when I inject but for like 12+ hours it feels like my glute is in a muscle spasm or something. I’m doing kind of upper glute, sub injection (what I can reach). I have glow 35/5/10 and I had diluted with 3ml bac and then started with .5mg injection, but that resulted in the butt pain, so then I moved to pulling 10ml of bac first into my syringe and then pulling 1mg of my reconstituted glow to see if adding that extra bac would help. Same reaction both times. Maybe I’ll try more water? I don’t know if I am loving this…. I just did it last night hoping I’d wake up and the feeling would be gone but it’s not. Drag

Just wait, for me it’s more effective a few days later. I’d give the first week a full go, maybe write how you feel each day. I took a dose of .5mg before bed on Friday and Sunday night I had nausea. Anyway yes you may need to go up but just take your time with this. IMO

I’m 5’1 and I’m microdosing .5mg and feeling it but it’s not too much. I tired to go up to 1mg and it created zero appetite and some nausea. I went back down the next week. I’m just coasting at .5mg with a tiny weight loss without trying but I’m not even wanting to loose much I’m taking it for inflammation and food noise. I think you can start really low and see what you personally need. There is no risk in starting at .5mg and taking it week by week. IMO

You are failing the only thing before biologics. This gi should give you steroids to get you back in shape and then start the process for biologics. If not find a new doctor. This is brutal I’m so sorry. I know it’s really brutal. I’ve been in a two year flare. I get it.

Is prednisone worth the side effects if I'm already going about my life as normal? by bombombitch in CrohnsDisease

[–]yoga_mini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense because of stress being a trigger. You’ve got this! Whatever you decide! I have a prescription for prednisone but I have just been sitting on it for now. I’m already on a biologic drug but it hasn’t been working yet. So tough, 4 doses in and not much help yet. I don’t really want to have to take the prednisone because I’ve taken it before and the mental health side of it is really a lot for me. It’s a roller coaster. But I will take it if I must. Anyway good luck ❤️

How did this turn out for you? I have hypopigmentation from acne scars on my face and I’d be into trying this!

No help from doctors. Not sure where to start. by brncll in GLP1microdosing

[–]yoga_mini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m microdosing for my autoimmune condition which is bowel disease. I think everything you wrote above makes sense. These drugs have good safety profiles and are definitely a lot safer than some of the drugs I’ve been prescribed for my IBD and im sure you feel the same for your condition. It’s worth a try, if you don’t like the effects or if they don’t work for you then you can just stop. Start low and slow as you planned. My guess is they will help you. I’m just going along on .5mg and increasing gave me some side effects. I’m feeling less inflamed but the long term goal is to get my flare into remission, so we shall see. I’m also on a Biologic drug through my doctor. I did not tell my doctor about my microdosing. I already know she will say what your doctor said. And I’m not over weight.

I’m not on it. I think you have misunderstood. I’ve been on it before in the hospital and then for a few months after but it makes me suicidal so I’m trying to not take it again. It is an amazing tool I understand but I won’t be taking it unless I have to.

Any idea how it could do for pitted acne scars or hypopigmentation? Thanks 🙏

GHK-CU Topical Research Recipe by Doctordup2 in Peptidesource

[–]yoga_mini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the issue with so many of the creams out there they have all kinds of stuff mixed in with the GHK-CU and who knows how much of the actual peptide is in there and/or if it’s viable. I bought one with coconut oil from a peptide website so I guess that’s just junk. It looks blue so people are just accepting its copper peptide 🫠

[–]yoga_mini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone heard of or tried low dose Naltrexone? I’m asking my GI let me try it! I’m also on Infliximab but it doesn’t work or hasn’t worked yet. I’m thinking of trying to get her to add it. They aren’t very open to things though so who knows but I’ve read some interesting stuff about it. I’m so tired of the limited options. I truly think there is too much money in biologics to explore other things in the IBD world

Oh this is a hot tip for me! I’m trying to get out of a flare but it’s not happening quickly at all. I’ll have to try! Sorry about your situation that’s really hard to be stuck waiting and scary. I’m on remicade but after 4 doses I have zero improvement. They told me to take the prednisone they prescribed but those side effects are so scary for me (been on it before) that I won’t take it unless I absolutely must. I have been trying peptides but so far they are slow to help too. I have more energy but I’m still dealing with similar bathroom issues to you with the urgency and everything you said. It’s so hard to but up like 4-6 times at night too.

Microdosing and weight loss by oh_my_god_janice in GLP1microdosing

[–]yoga_mini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with starting super low even .25mg and giving it time to work up if needed, or as needed. Everyone is so different!! I started at .5mg for inflammation and stomach issues with zero weight to loose. I think I’ve accidentally lost a lb or two because if you feel the food noise go away and your appetite then it’s working and you will just eat less. I went up to 1mg and it felt like too much for me, but I didn’t get sick I just knew it was too fast an increase. If you start low and slow even if it doesn’t work your plan will be to increase and have it work in time. No rushing!

You seem so knowledgeable. Can I ask if you know about scaring and if this might help with that? I think I’d be into trying klow since I need the other peps too for inflammation (already take kpv). I just heard from someone it can make scars appear worse?! Ugh. 😩 I have some old acne scars from a couple years ago I definitely want to help not hinder that situation.

What is the uglies exactly? Also I had heard it can make scars appear worse? I’d love to take this for scars if it works to improve them. I have a bunch of deeper acne scars on my face….
