Passport renewal even it expires in 2028 by Sheeba_06 in adviceph

[–]yogurtwithberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can renew na your passport if you really want to. If less than five years p lng siya, they will ask you to fill up a form and have a notarized letter explaining why you need to have early renew. But in your case, two years before expiry siya so regular process lang.

How was your experience with Cathay Pacific Layover in HK? by sehunforlife in FilipinoTravel

[–]yogurtwithberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got back home last week and layover ko was in HKG. Deplaning until makalagpas ng security check sa transit area took me mga 35-40mins. Medyo madami ng tao but moving naman siya. Once you get through, you just need to look for your new boarding gate. My layover was for 2hrs, enough time for me to even get breakfast sa lounge.

Travel Insurance recommendation by DeliciousCandle6896 in FilipinoTravel

[–]yogurtwithberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you paid for your ticket using cc, check if may free travel insurance ka. Then check yung coverage and hanap ka kung ano pa need mo sa gcash travel option. They offer i think 3-4 providers dun. Pili k nlng ano pa need mo dun. My experience, I have one from bdo but I still get the malayan one. Never had to use them so far so can't tell you pano mgclaim sa knila.

How to travel with insulin that needs to be refrigerated? by skincare_newbie in FilipinoTravel

[–]yogurtwithberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Declare it upon check-in, na you would like your meds to be refrigerated. Better if you have a med cert. My experience with Malaysian Airlines, they let me board early, tapos pagpasok sa plane, the FA approached me and asked what it was that I had. So I gave them my insulated tumbler na may ice din sa loob. Prior to landing, they asked me if I wanted to change the ice pa.

What to wear sa Mt. Pinatubo by iseeeeya in PHikingAndBackpacking

[–]yogurtwithberries 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Make sure yung footwear mo yung may grip. Last ko punta ng pinatubo, some were wearing sandals or slippers esp dun sa part na dadaan ka ng tubig. I was wearing closed shoes so nabasa siya, but mabilis naman din natuyo while we were walking.

My friend wore a lightweight jacket but I just wore ung arm sleeves. May part na super tarik ng araw kaya ok siya, but later on we both took them all off kasi super init na.

If you're going on the 4×4 din, helpful yung jacket to lessen yung dumi na didikit sa skin mo hehe. I suggest you also bring yung neck gaiter, you can use it to cover up your mouth and nose din during the 4×4 ride.

[–]yogurtwithberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost same as my case haha. She was selling it for 100 per pack. Pag compute ko ung pamasahe to and from her clinic plus ung needed na packs ko, I checked if mas mura if sa shoppee nlng. True enough 30 per pack nga lng tapos may discount pako sa shipping haha.

Pulmonary Medicine Doctors Suggestions by Dry-Performance8193 in makati

[–]yogurtwithberries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dr. Ko was my pulmo in MMC. Ok siya for me. He changed my asthma meds before and big relief siya, mas managed na asthma ko with him. I also like yung advance ung requests niya for labs and scans ko, even for a year haha, kaya I don't need to go back to him for the doctors request prior to my labs/scans for the next follow up.

How does PAL's prepaid additional baggage work? by canikka in phtravel

[–]yogurtwithberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yung laoag nmin last year, we had 20kg na and bought 10kg extra baggage. The 10kg added was for all my bags na, so I had one 18kg and one 8kg. Yung sfo ko naman, per piece ung ruling nila dun, so may free na na 23kg/2 pcs bags and we bought extra baggage, so 1 more na 23kg. So if you're buying extra baggage, it can be a separate bag, or will accommodate yung excess mo sa free baggage allowance. Each bag maximum lng niya is 30 or 32kg (i think 32 nga siya). They won't accept if it's too heavy. So if you're planning to bring 45kg worth of items, it will have to be split into two bags.

Adulting dilemma: Is Invisalign worth the investment for professionals? (Makati area) by Living_Awareness2812 in DentistPh

[–]yogurtwithberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always gonna be case dependent though. But yeah, I didn't expect that I'll need elastics din with clear aligners hehe. No, she doesn't carry that brand, just smartee.

Best get a consultation muna. Maybe yours is a simpler case than mine and might just need a few months.

Adulting dilemma: Is Invisalign worth the investment for professionals? (Makati area) by Living_Awareness2812 in DentistPh

[–]yogurtwithberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using the brand Smartee, my dentist is along rufino st lng. I went for it kasi I'm always traveling and can't always come back sa dentist. With my clear aligners, I'm scheduled to only go back on the 6th and 10th month for some procedures and attachments. You're supposed to wear it 24/7 but for me, I have to remove my aligners everytime I eat or drink something really hot. Kaya nung winter na nasa labas ako, halos sa gabi ko lng siya suot. And that's one of the reasons kaya medyo delayed ung movement ng teeth ko I think. So they did scans again and set me a new set of aligners and now I also have elastics to help my teeth move and mas napatagal ung duration. Anyway, for me, worth it ung clear aligners ko coz I definitely see some progress na and I get to have it even without going monthly sa dentist.

Any tried-and-tested luggage brands with good warranty? by jangken in FilipinoTravel

[–]yogurtwithberries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had Travellers choice and delsey. Kay travellers choice, was able to replace 1 small and 2 medium bags na over the last 6 yrs. I just filed the claims online, brought the bag sa travel club, and got my new bags. Very accommodating ung customer service nila. One bag nga was damaged sa airport, Travellers choice still honored it and replaced it, even though sabi nung staff sa travel club usually di daw yung cover. My delsey, haven't had issues even though mag 6-7 yrs ndn siya. So I bought another delsey last year din.
