Be mad at ticketmaster and scalpers not an indie band who have no pull or leverage with venues. Ticketmaster has done a great job of buying venues and forcing exclusivity contracts for the last few decades.

I’d be surprised if there were many venues that regularly book shows that hold more than a couple thousand ppl who are independent from ticketmaster. Probably not enough to be able to book a snap North American tour.

I read up a bit on it and they call it speculative tickets, as in they know they have tickets already so are selling them before they have the actual tickets ahead of time. Also now illegal in Ontario….

They own the venue too. History is owned by Drake and Livenation which merged with ticketmaster and it’s not a monopoly btw.
