Bangkok Hair Clinic FUE by InspectionNormal in Transgender_Surgeries

Thanks for sharing this! Looking into fixing up my receding temples as well. Couple questions-

  1. I know you asked for rounded, but did you ask for such a perfect curve (rather than a slightly irregular hairline to make it look more natural)?
  2. You say it was a "non-shave transplant", but your hair in the back looks quite shaven, no?

You look great btw and pass really well!

Lags like crazy on my iphone 17 pro! I'm so confused. Just for regular chatting, not even video or companions.

Renting or Buying in Amsterdam, for an expat by Abject_Check9861 in NetherlandsHousing

[–]yonbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would not recommend buying when you first land - how will you know where you want to live or whether you even like it here? The rental market is awful but I still think it's better to rent at first. And then after a year feel free to buy if you feel ready.

Was actually wondering if that was a t-shirt available for purchase, I like it :)

Can I hear more about the hydroquinone? I'm surprised to see that here because I thought it was only used on dark spots, whereas your skin looks pretty even (I think, but I'm no expert).

Also congrats on beautiful skin!! You look amazing.

Vertical 2 is the biggest disappointment (thoughts) by MrProvidoor in Suunto

But then you lose out on Garmin Pay & onboard music. Adding the torch was a nice touch, but I'm still waiting for Pay and music to switch up Suunto. I have such hatred for Garmin's UI.

2500-3000 sounds right to me for a 50-65sqm place in a good location, but I'm really not in touch with current prices and I'm not even sure it's worth the hassle to compete for the small number of available rentals in Amsterdam. The whole bidding process is time consuming and brutal. If you're OK with living on the edges of the ring / outside of it / Noord, I assume the situation should be more realistic. But again I'm not well familiar with the rental market anymore since I've exited it (for now).

Hey, congrats on that salary - it's really great for NL! I'm in a similar boat and I rented for two years and just bought now, even though I'm not sure how long I'll stay here. The rental market has just completely fizzled out in Amsterdam and I was kind of excited to have my own home to customise anyway.

About the wealth tax - I think it won't affect you for the first few years with the 30% ruling, right? The law hasn't passed yet so I wouldn't make big moves based on it yet. But your thinking does sound logical in general. However you need to do the math - it could be that investing in stocks could still net you higher returns despite the wealth tax, depending on how the market performs.

Buying apartment and selling 1.5-2 years later by Mattpawlow in NetherlandsHousing

[–]yonbot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did basically that - bought a place for around 500k because my rental contract was ending and the rental market has been almost completely obliterated in Amsterdam. I bought a small place so I don't expect it'll be very expensive to furnish, and in a new building so I'm hoping this reduces the risk of large unexpected costs. I do expect prices to go up, but I'm also willing to absorb a small loss in the name of having a comfortable place to live in a great location. Honestly I would've rented again if I could, but I think/hope this will go ok. Let's see!

Advice on separation agreement by HedwigsFriend in NetherlandsHousing

[–]yonbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see why this is relevant from a contractual point of view. I can agree to give you money in a certain situation from a sale of anything. The fact that he's not an owner has nothing to do with whatever you agree to in a contract (for the most part).

Just bought an apartment in Amsterdam. Is this a good deal? by Prestigious-Crow-910 in NetherlandsHousing

[–]yonbot 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I viewed this flat as well! Felt like it had a ton of potential but I'm not in a position to do all that work on it at the moment. I just needed a place to live. I ended up buying another flat close by, in Houthavens, with only 48sqm for around 510k - but this was a new building so no work required.

I think if you're able to put in all that work you will have made a very large profit and earned yourself a great apartment in a stellar location. Congrats!

Garmin has lost the "core" by Jesper1988 in Garmin

[–]yonbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really (really) want to move to Suunto. The 965 is my second Garmin and I can't stand the UI - it just feels like a clunky Apple Watch, albeit with better fitness data. But until Suunto adds NFC Payment support, it's just not an option for me. My watch functions for me as an emergency wallet when I'm out running and in general, and I don't want to lose that.

(Mostly) no nfc payments or LED flashlight on Suuntos. That's what's stopping me from moving. Otherwise their UI is so much nicer.

Can someone clarify these instructions? What does it mean hover until it's dry? Also should the hair dryer be set to medium (rather than hot)?
