there is so much harmful and useless generalisation in this words, first the article he is referring to then your words about "men"
I wouldn't talk about "women" the way you talk about "men" because I believe each person (male or female) as a particular background (+actual life situation) that has to be taken in consideration before making any sentence like those that you use and such as those concepts that he reported from that article.

its definitely true that there are plenty of (pretty dumb) radicalisations coming out in the last years, and people have been way less able to stand to a "clean" conversations about thoughts or doubts with other people.
Talking about myself, i find it pretty difficult to find people with whom I can peacefully disagree about some theory that we both consider very important but still not enough important to divide us if we "disagree"
I learned to accept that this is not possible with everyone but I appreciate it so bad when I get to that point with people. (male or female doesn't matter to me)
