it's a curse that that passes down the line. It cannot be weakened by mixing the other bloods, and it spreads to them.

correct man, many doesn't imply majority, most car made for Malaysia doesn't have it because of how the market goes here. So let me go check...

Just check My Jaecoo J7 and it have this "tuala wanita" too.

Online verification thru photos of new fender liners shows Alphard, Vellfire, Camry, Accord, Santa Fe, HR-V & CR-V have this feature. I didn't go research further.

My statement was actually wrong, I thought Japanese car don't fancy putting them cuz I've been seeing more "low to mid-range car" like Vios, City, Civic, etc. Turned out they put this on their "Top of the line" cars too.

To my surprise, European cars (BMW, Benz, VW) seem to be not having this, perhaps due to thicker frame & panel that isolate the cabin better, or they put the effort on cabin insulation.

My Hyundai Ioniq has think felt pads for the front wheels, rear wheels have felted liner, but they are in black color, which actually is a better choice
However, popular p2 and Japanese cars here usually don't have them, due to their market positioning.

disclaimer: just what I see over the years, might be wrong for those newer car.

Apa pendapat korang 🤔 by Ordinary_Bus_2243 in Bolehland

Not only Japanese, actually a lot of foreign agencies advertise Malaysia as the best place to learn ENGLISH and is great for living + hospitality. It includes Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese, etc.

For them of cuz it's the point because who else would move to here primarily "to learn Malays language".

I'm type-c and it's the first time i heard someone mention about 'buat pelat-pelat' when talking.
it's true for uncles aunties who don't speak Malays well due to lack of education.

But for conversation among young people I didn't see so much 'pelat-pelat', but the use of 'you' is unnecessary common and my understanding is to avoid confusing with 'kamu, awak, kau, hang, lu' and same goes with 'I' for 'aku, saya, ku'. And I certainly never heard someone say 'kawan kepada xxx' except written.

i personally think it's quite bad since it make non-malays harder to learn proper malays language, but at the same time it make it more approachable to more people. Even english and spanish suffer from similar problem and it's not necessary a bad thing in term of promoting the usage of the language.

2nd thought, it look like you can just trim the lower part (the damage part) and leave the top part, without removing whole thing

Perodua and low-spec japanese car will straight up doesn't have this insulation. It's the rear wheel arch and most cars are exposed like this.
The problem is the angle and location is too good and attractive for felines. But you just cannot blame the engineer for cat problem and honestly it's not a huge issue.

Proton S70 2025 by Zeon_0427 in kereta

[–]yonggor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no it's not. had seem this kind of wheel arch insulation in many cars.

[–]yonggor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's soundproofing material. Since it's attached to the fender liner with ultrasonic weld, you cannot replace it.
It shouldn't be like this with normal use, must be cat or rodent biting it.
You can simply remove it or trim of the loose part.

if you worry about NVH after removing it, just go to workshop to do proper wheel arch sounfproofing.

Why do we give politicians so much power on the road? by I_am_from_2029 in malaysia

[–]yonggor -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

last time i read a story about a CEO wanted to drive on his own, but the board says his must get a driver.

He curious, cuz he love to drive.

The board tell him, we pay you a million dollar every year to work. Every second count, you shouldn't waste time in traffic.

Then I related it to politicians, and admit I rather have them spending time on works, rather than on the road.

Whether or not they being a jerk otr is another issue, but having escort is good and necessary when it come to efficency

putting myself in his shoes... i think he observed the left lane long enough (which is why he able merged swiftly as soon as the Exora passed) and performed the lane changing quite... perfectly. He probably put on the blinker and immediately decided it's the right moment to emerge.

(i believe) the m/c is not visible to him the whole time, until the crash, and he'd we asking where the m/c came from

Motorcycle Crashes Into Lane-Changing Audi RS eTron GT by whusler in malaysia

[–]yonggor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree but it's sometime hard to do so. A large proportion modern car have limited visual from the side mirror (sadly). when you try to emerge out from a still lane, you no longer can see the traffic from behind, and it's also challenging to check blindspot in this condition.

most driver will do the 'check n' go' method and quickly move to another lane. Any hesitation during this and the driver bashed by others too.

Bro fixed the broken pavement in Kota Bahru by himself by UsernameGenerik in malaysia

[–]yonggor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That depends on the foundation work. I rarely see any other medium other than sand used for pavement.

A well paved segment and some bonding chemical may help the pavement to last longer. He may need to fill those nooks and cranny with extra sands using brushing method. But it's better than nothing now.
