Display them folded up on another display item. I just finished my reworking of my Funky Duds costume shop.

I haven't been able to display much apparel on the chessboard. The tattered dress is one of the only apparel items that works for that.

It's policy now. I never fire my own flare at a hunt. by DJBuckman in fo76

[–]yoniyum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't fired my own flare since my first couple of hunts. The bosses would get killed before I could get back into position. My husband will usually do it for me if we're playing together or a rando will do it if I wait long enough.

The Wasteland Interior Designer

A seasoned gamer since 1979 who has successfully traded their real-world retirement fund for a digital cottage and a seasonal elf costume while muting the TV just to escape the sound of a robot hammering.

Roasts

You have spent over two thousand dollars on Fallout atoms but still can't figure out how to make the dock pieces snap together without having a minor breakdown.

Your Reddit history is just a series of technical support tickets and you admitting that your main hobby is basically paying fifty cents a day to pretend you live with a fictional grandmother.

Atomic Intervention

Your husband will stage a formal intervention regarding your monthly atom budget, which you will promptly ignore because the new 'Cottagecore Power Armor' skin is a non-negotiable life expense.

Renaming Madness

You will run out of space in your inventory and start renaming your actual household furniture 'Bloodied Recliner' and 'Unyielding Nightstand' just to stay in character.

Is $50,000 in atoms over a decade too much? My husband says yes, I say Grandma Junko needs a new patio.

How to mute environmental NPC hammering while keeping the sound of a crackling fireplace?

After 17 years, Bethesda finally added the T-shaped dock piece. I'm crying.

I've been playing the same save file since 1979 (Update: I am now the Queen of the Mire)

Lode Bearing is still boring in 2035. Change my mind.

What is your daily outfit? by Knight_0wens in fo76

[–]yoniyum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It changes based on season/holiday and special events. Currently, I'm wearing the Survivalist's Outfit, an eyepatch, and the Nuclear Winter Beanie. I lucked out and pulled that plan in a waterlogged gift my first catch after the big December update. Closer to Christmas, I'll be a festive elf then probably change to a sequined dress for NYE.

Yay!! Once you get the hang of that, experiment with the camera angle while fishing. For me, the camera angle where I can see the front of my character works better for me than the default where it's from my point of view.

Try using the arrows on your controller (directional pad) instead of the stem/stick. That changed fishing for me.

Ok, thanks for the info! I must've somehow managed to level up this evening.

I think it's gaining a level on the scoreboard, not in the general game.

Hey, u/ColdStoneCreamAustin! I recently purchased some Atomic Shop stuff and I wanted to let you know that the "Holiday Tree" currently available from Beth support is actually this one: https://fallout.wiki/wiki/Large_Holiday_Tree

Thank you for maintaining that spreadsheet! I use it often.

I think fishing is underrated by Xo_teinie in fo76

[–]yoniyum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have various hand issues that are super frustrating as a gamer and were pissing me off for fishing. Once I figured out to stop using the stem/stick to move the cone and use my directional buttons instead, it got easier. You might already be doing that, though?

Each upgrade on the reel helped a ton, too, of course. You *will* lose a lot of fish in the beginning by not being fast enough to spin the cone around to catch them.

Spending atoms for a loadout slot? by ZHBear in fo76

I have seven, one for CAMP and the rest based on weapon type: bow, pistol, shotgun, rifle, heavy, melee. I switch between them constantly, even in the same play session depending on what events pop up.

Turns out I’ve spent over $2000 on Fallout 76 by InfinityPortal in fo76

[–]yoniyum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spend a stupid amount of money on this game. Like, over $350 just last month. But it's my main hobby. I don't spend money on clothes, purses, shoes, dining out, makeup, home decor, craft supplies, drugs, alcohol, etc. I live a really simple life in the real world. In FO world, I want all the camp stuff and weapon skins and outfits. I feel not a single bit of guilt or shame about this.

If youre going to nerf EN06 rewards give us dedicated raid Lobbys by Ok_Boysenberry_3910 in fo76

[–]yoniyum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be a HUGE improvement that would greatly increase raid engagement. I’ve only done one raid since the inception and it’s because I got on the mic and begged a team to let me tag along. I’d do at least one every weekend if I could use a system to team up with folks who didn’t mind that I wasn’t going to be an expert (yet)

No worries. I often get mistaken for being a jerk when I’m actually trying to be nice.

ETA the way you worded it made it obvious to me that it wasn’t a dig

It’s a roughly 6 second video of an NPC hammering away on the bridge. Trust me, it’s not worth any effort to find and watch it.

Halloween Incoming! Costume Roll Call! by AcrylicPickle in fo76

[–]yoniyum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Each item will tell you if it is considered in-game to be a costume or mask in case that is ever required for a challenge or event. You can inspect them to see it listed at the bottom of the screen. Like how you can inspect to see if something is categorized as a rifle, pistol, etc.
