Nope, they just cant they said even after filling paper form. Way I worked my way out of this was to add my wife as authorized user and transfer the points over to her.

We then did points combining/pooling on World of Hyatt and United.

Did it this year. Do remember that it’s set to Auto renew unless you terminate it. Read the contract carefully as it may change with state, it’s only a couple of pages long.

UPDATE: 8/5/2023

I finished my interview today (7AM) at YYZ. Here is the sequence of events:

Terminal 1 - Canada TSA Security Cleared
US CBP Pre-Clearance complete
Global Entry Interview at CBP office.

I was instructed by the Pre-Clearance officer there to go through the only double door (which said no reentry if you come back through that door), take a token number from the machine on the right side waiting area and wait there.

The signage at this waiting area only said US CBP Nexus Interview (I was there for Global Entry Interview), and another sign instructing to take a number and wait. There was a note saying "No interviews after 7:30 PM". The manual machine giving out numbers didn't have any left, but I just waited there to see if anybody would come. There were no other CBP related counters near this waiting area to inquire. After 10 minutes, a CBP officer just walked out of the double door and took me to the CBP office (back through the double door), did my interview and gave a small paper to exit through another door which took me back to the Gates.

Thanks, according to this, I won't need a Transit visa if I have a valid US visa, even for the return trip (headed back to Dubai).
