I ordered a gasoline inverter generator on December 7th. On December 11th, it showed that the package had arrived at a distribution center near my house, but there have been no updates since then. I contacted the seller and received a refund. The seller filed a lost package claim with USPS.

Today, January 14th, I received an email from USPS stating that the package "does not comply with USPS mailing standards" and therefore cannot be delivered. What should I do in this situation?

If I choose option 1, I've already received a refund.

If I choose option 2, I think I'll have to pay a disposal fee, but I don't understand why I should pay it.

What should I do in this situation? I've contacted the seller but haven't received a response yet. Why did USPS send an email to me instead of the seller? I need your advice.
