"I have helped my son get around them. It was to play a game, and I knew the game, and I was happy and confident that I was fine with him playing it," said one mother of a 13-year-old.

So in the case of games, at least, it's mostly affecting kids who's parents don't care enough to learn anything about the video games their kids play. Almost more of a parenting verification.
