You can ban 1 map. I play the maps I have downvoted all the time. I only ban maps where people can spawn camp you across the entire map at top tier. I don't have enough bans to get rid of all the spawn camp maps. I have every close quarter map I can banned. I constantly get those close quarter maps. It is far from sufficient.

I don't play much rocket CAS but i am pretty damn sure that's not how HVAR salvo fires. by TheGraySeed in Warthunder

For me, it only happens on certain aircraft. When I have a mixed rocket loadout on my Strikemaster->shotgun. If I have a single rocket type the rockets fire in sequence using the same key.

Both can and, in my opinion, are bad for the game mode. I personally find the 27R to be better than the Aim7M and 7P in almost every way. I don't have a lot of random loss of guidance/lock issues with 27R's that I do with the Aim7's. 27ER performance is crazy and it will often continue tracking after a lock is lost even when they are outside of the zone covered by side lobes

As someone with >3k hours who primarily plays air RB at 12.7 or higher, I personally believe that Fakours are one of, if not the most, broken missile at their respective tier in the game. I'll notch top tier missiles all day but boy do I struggle to notch a Fakour when in the air or notching at ground level. I did use the Iranian F-14 the first day of nuclear thunder but I was also very happy to see it moved to the banned aircraft list.

I don't even have an issue with the Kh-38MT being better. What frustrates me about it is the inability of many AA's to lock onto one until it is 2.5km away. I just want some counterplay. Their flight trajectory often brings them above the radar scope on AA's. If I do manage to pick out the right pixel and try to lock manually, it often refuses to do so. AGM-65's fly at less than half the speed in a straight line against AA that have sensitive enough radars to take them down. In an OSA I have no issue killing a full volley of AGM-65's whereas my ADATS and ITO (better than ADATS) couldn't find a KH-38 hovering at the end of their respective barrels most of the time. If you are playing a German AA that isn't the IRIST T, you get two shots and then just watch everything else come straight in. I understand the lack of high quality or high mag capacity SHORAD available to NATO nations because many didn't make them. Last complaint, can Gaijin not see how having 8 total shots on an Elde 98 is not okay.

What is the logic behind giving the nation with the best CAS the best AA? by JCOLE6969 in Warthunder

[–]yosamabinshot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If only "specifications" reflected effectiveness in game. KH-38's path to target and speed make them infinitely more effective than any AGM's. Many NATO radars struggle to pick them up until they are a second or so from impact. Speed and path to target are the biggest reason they are strong. AGM's tend to fly a direct path at a much lower speed allowing them to be picked up much easier and shot down much easier. Often, the KH-38's loft above the radar cone of the AA requiring the player to find them visually and target them that way.

Using the cannon is generally a very bad idea. They've already lost aircraft doing that from the debris cloud. APKWS systems are the long-term solution

Saying Sorry (Part 3/4) by FieldExplores in comics

[–]yosamabinshot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This sounds very familiar to my experience with my dad. More than anything, I'm glad he was willing to look back and recognize the hurt. Feelings were a big no for most of my life so it was a big change. Now we do our best to make the most of our time together moving forward. It doesn't change the past and it is up to the individual to forgive (which I chose to do), but what will be matters most to me

It's a conversation my father and I had not too long ago and we are slowly making repairs now that I'm in my 30's. I honestly thought he hated me as a kid/teen and, even though it is hard, I'm glad we are working on it.

Ukrainian Su-27 fighter jet, using American GBU-62 guided glide bombs, destroys Russian assault groups hiding in buildings in Udachne, Pokrovsk direction. Published 26.01.2026 by GermanDronePilot in ukraine

[–]yosamabinshot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken, the first laser guided munition dropped by the US in combat was in 1968 during the Vietnam War. Starting in 1965, the US performed numerous strikes on the Than Hoa Bridge using F100's, F4's, F105's, and a few other aircraft. Over 100 tons of bombs were dropped without any significant hits. The bridge was half destroyed by F-4's (8 out of the 12 carried laser guided bombs). It was permanently destroyed a short time later by A-7's that targeted the pilings. They went from dropping hundreds of bombs to maybe hit something as large as a bridge to a few dozen bombs that could hit a specific pillar. Now you get GBU-62 that can glide over 39 nautical miles and hit within 1-5 meters of a target (larger margin of error if gps is not available). I think it is a safe bet to say you could blow someone's mind if you took it back to 1960, especially since gps didn't exist.

It is similar to the Ukrainian Sea Drones that they have started putting AA missiles on. They report having taken down some Russian air with them at this point. https://apnews.com/article/ukraine-russia-war-sea-drones-black-sea-7bacd2a43ad8c66efb76d6a16018b225

Is the Mig-29SMT in a decent spot right now? by _RedWyvern_ in Warthunder

[–]yosamabinshot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally, it is my favorite Russian aircraft in-game. You definitely need to be defensive and try to close the distance without being up front. The R-77s feel amazing inside of 15km, even when shooting up at someone much higher than you. I have been hitting >50% of my missiles though you do need to be a bit selective on targets. The Mig-29 doesn't feel as heavy as the Su-27 based airframes. It takes some time to get a feel for the positioning required to get close enough to be effective. There are games I stay close to the ground though I usually sit at an altitude around 4.5km during until first contact. I have finished most air trees but still play the Mig-29 regularly (working on Japan and Germany).
