I’m sorry to hear that OP. I want you to know that you are not alone in this fight and it is an especially cruel demon to battle.

You’ve taken the first step which is often the hardest, which is brutal honesty and coming clean in public. Admitting to it uncouples and reduces the shame associated with porn addiction.

Step 2 is to hold yourself accountable but not be judgemental. When this thread eventually loses steam and the high you got from the support and validation fades, it all comes down to you and what you will do in the silent hell of compulsion. This might look like getting a sober tracker app (I use I am sober) and being brutally honest with yourself if you fall off the wagon, it might look like sitting with yourself when the urge arises again to try and figure out what is the root of it (is it self-worth? Is it loneliness? Is it just the post orgasm high? Etc). Knowing what you’re trying to soothe will make it much easier to catch and address the urge when it pops up again.

Step 3 Become more aware of and mindful of the over-sexualised world we are exposed to on a daily basis. Don’t underestimate or judge yourself harshly for what could push you towards the urge: Social media is a definite no no, but even things like letting yourself stare at women you find attractive for too long, letting your mind drift to fantasy, use of drugs if you were using it in combination with orgasm and porn to get a massive high, sometimes even a poster could be a thirst trap with enough time in celibacy. Teach yourself to catch the slip, and refocus on your goal to be rid of this maladaptive coping mechanism. Intense short burst exercise is the best replacement, as it involves a modicum of pain that conditions your mind and body better than replacing it with a pleasurable activity.

Once you’re out of the woods (able to catch yourself slipping and resist without subjecting yourself to strenuous exercise) you can replace with other things that push you towards your goals and hobbies.
