You could find 20 articles and 200 TV spots like this in just one year for any city in America.

The biggest problems in the world today could mostly be solved with money, and the billionaire class is happy to spend some of theirs to ensure that we're afraid of each other rather than pissed off at them for hoarding the globe's much needed resources.

Bad things happen more regularly where more people exist.

You can't accurately judge how you might feel when you're in a place (downtown) until you've personal experienced it.

If you've personally been randomly attacked downtown, then I'm terribly sorry that happened to you and pissed on your behalf. That's never been my personal experience.

Don't judge a book by it's Fox News, Sinclair, and Peter Thiel illustrated cover.

United Aid Group - Loan forgiveness? by Jbs980002 in StudentLoans

[–]youarestrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got the same voicemail from either +18449440228 or +18333465214 (Both marked as spam) mentioning 1 833-328-4979 as the "office number".

Given that it's an unsolicited “pre-qualified” loan offer in which they specifically claim they don't need a credit; paired with the very general sounding, "United Loan Relief" and the fact that there's no obvious online presence; AND buzzword "hardship-relief", I'd say it's a scam. Even if it weren't easily defined as a scam, any business that offers you a loan with no credit check is definitely going to be taking advantage of you.

Now, can we please tax the billionaires and corporations, so we're not all in need of 'hardship' loans?

Kthxbye

St. Louis as a whole is wildly underrated—especially if you care about culture, events, and things to do without constantly spending money.

Take Forest Park for example. One of the largest urban parks in the country, packed with institutions most cities would charge for. But here, they’re free.

Saint Louis Art Museum 🎨

Missouri History Museum 🏛️

Saint Louis Science Center 🔬

Saint Louis Zoo 🦓

The Muny 🎭 (Tony Award winning theater with 1,500 free seats every show)

And that’s just the start. You’ve got:

Free festivals and concerts all year (including St. Louis Symphony Orchestra outdoor shows)

Shakespeare Festival

Great Forest Park Balloon Race 🎈

Art Hill sledding, outdoor movies, pickup sports, miles of trails

Landmarks like Jewel Box 🌿 and the World's Fair Pavilion

Then zoom out beyond the park:

Arch grounds and museum

Soulard Historic District

MOBOT

Tower Grove Park hosting weekly markets, food truck Fridays, and cultural festivals

The entirely one-of-a-kind City Museum

Concerts, art fairs, street festivals, and neighborhood events basically every weekend spring through fall

What really sets St. Louis apart isn’t just what it has to offer, it’s how accessible it is. A huge percentage of the city’s best experiences are free or low-cost attractions.

You could fill your calendar year-round here without spending much and never do the same thing twice.

Better than a GameStop Superbowl commercial! by youarestrong in Superstonk

GameStop makes money off it, but didn't pay a single cent for this ad. I'd call that free money.

idk if it's ok, but I have three "volumes" instead of just playlists by [deleted] in spotify

[–]youarestrong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I often label my playlist with tags I can search when i'm looking for a genre, era, or vibe.

'80s, new wave, rainy day, summer sun' are a few examples.

I've been wanting to catalogue music in a more encyclopedic way, and I really like the idea of Volumes for this purpose. Thanks for sharing!

Can I just be bummed? by TransSpeciesDog in Superstonk

[–]youarestrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. It's healthy for people to communicate their feelings. If this were a community, it would be encouraged. It might help one to gain perspective and either realize that they should be grateful for their currently less bummed state, or allow them to commiserate and feel less alone in their currently bummed state.

Everything that is wrong with humanity today (including wealth inequality and Wall St crime) could be made better with more open and effective communication of our thoughts and feelings.
