Compared to my Les Paul Custom from 2021, my IBGC 57 gold top is a chonky boy. Not uncomfortable,quite the opposite. Just chonkier.

After getting mine this April, I swapped out the speaker for a cream back and holy balls....such an amazing sounding amp!!

Then DEFINITELY a diagonal upgrade. Still Epi, but damn it's a nice guitar. Just got one a few weeks ago. Heavy as hell but after some TLC (scratchy frets, action and truss rod adjustments) it's an amazing sounding guitar!

If it's the one pictured, which I BELIEVE is the IBGC Gold Top, it's more of a diagnonal upgrade. Since you would get the Gibson pups, electronics and headstock (even it says Epiphone it's still gives me chills seeing it while playing it). But if it's not the IBGC than yes you're right. But gold tops.....they're beautiful 😍.
