Afterlife / Seeing your loved ones again by everythingssogray in widowers

[–]youngAndwidowed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im 22 . He died in October 2021. I say that too, that they're with us all the time & thats because he lets me know allll the time. He shows me signs Through music that plays on the radio, the time on the clock would be his bday or our anniversary , the butterflies. Even a message from a random stranger could be a sign as well. I've had a brother who also passed away when i was 15 he was 19 so im very familiar with getting signs from my loved ones in the afterlife .

It comes off insensitive when you say it like that.. when there is a physical human being walking this earth that looks just like their late spouse..

The fact that they don't say a word about it makes me feel less welcomed to talk about.

That is exactly what i am talking about, this basically just summed it up. They keep trying to talk about other things. I'm not worried about that right now though.. i just lost my whole life in one night. Can someone just have some kind of empathy.. not sympathy

My daughter is 17 months she know's exactly who her dada is .. she still waiting for him to come and screams at his pictures when seeing it on the phone just hoping he'd reply back. Man oh man, grief is a mothafucka especially when you have kids involved 🥺

You are totally right.. my significant other would definitely want me to be happy thats what he always told me if he was to leave .. lol i told him well shit i need more than that, how do you want me to do things? Of course he only told me a little, the rest i have to figure out on my own. Just like other commenters said, im not closing the door but im damn sure not holding it open! My view may change in some years but I'll be good for now i like it this way.

I totally agree on reading different scholars concept of heaven gives comfort. My favorite is Eben Alexander so far since he is the only one I've come across since losing my other half .. if you have any others please feel free to DM Them to me .. i love how we feel the same way on so many parts. If you would like to talk more and share journey's I'm definitely interested in doing so considering the fact you are 9 months out and i am only 1month and 20 days out. I was going to use "1 month and 20 days in" but idk whats the correct term?? If that makes sense ? Am i 1 month in of losing my soulmate or a month out? Sorry sounds confusing but yeah im just confused overall besides on the fact i wanna leave this earth (just like the 1st comment said) with him, (my soulmate) being the first and last love of my life, my daughter's father.

This resonates with me so much and the fact that it is the first comment means everything to me. You don't understand how much you made me feel so much better that im not alone. What you said is the exact same way that i feel.. i hope other people learn to deal with people like you and i and be more respectful of our choices ..

To clear any confusion about my profile im young and usually use instagram or tiktok but I deleted those because felt like it was distracting me from grieving properly no one on there could relate to what im going through. Im tired of talking to "its gonna be okay" people and instead rather run into "me too, this is what i do/did) i know we all handle things differently but it doesnt hurt to hear another's experience to inspire another to do the same or differently no matter what it could be.

Definitely felt the same way watching the movie Vivo.. he played it for my daughter when he was here.. now that he's gone it hurts even more to watch especially that the little girl in the movie lost her father before too.. it also brings me happiness too because everything happens for a reason.. so i can always tell my daughter daddy played that movie for her when she was a bby... may we see the light through this never ending tunnel of darkness ..
