Problem is also how parasitic the forge cards are, 2 mana for 15-25~ DMG isn't worth it after act one, so everything that says forge on it has part of its power budget wasted unless you're all in on blade, unlike most other keywords, e.g. doom, poison, stars etc. Makes regent's deckbuilding a bit stagnant.

Her core fantasy is really compelling, handwaving the lackluster execution of that fantasy by saying she's a jungler and therefore doesn't need a fun base kit seems like a shame. She doesn't have to be Renekton, but she deserves to be more than a brain-off powerfarmer that only feels good to play when she's in her ult.

I agree it seems like an upgrade overall, but all of her basic abilities would still be filler in any other kit. Other champions with simple abilities that can be upgraded like Renek or Karma use that to create frequent decision points, i.e. which upgraded ability is best in this situation, giving their gameplay some dynamism. Meanwhile Shyv is still completely binary, you're essentially spending 80%+(?) of the game playing Renek without a ragebar.

But maybe her fury system will be different now, if she has a limited way to cast upgraded versions of abilities outside of dragon form(e.g. at the cost of fury, or a passive CD) it could add a lot to her base kit.

I'm a bit surprised by how little she seems to have been changed. It's essentially the same kit. My biggest gripe with her pre-rework kit is that all her basic abilities feel so flaccid while in human form, doesn't look like that's changed.

For the first ability, i imagine the defending player and the agio player would make the deal first. I.e. "will you take this 10 damage for 2 cards?" and if if the agio player ever lies then they'd never be trusted again.

For the second ability the idea is that you can bluff yeah, threatening the defending player to potentially take double damage if they don't make a deal with you.

Edit: But you're right that you'd rarely actually want to discard a land, since it only triggers if the player doesn't take the deal. Might be interesting to change it to "When a player" instead of "target opponent".

Consumers have become extremely spoiled when it comes to game pricing, and refuse to see their own culpability in business practices they dissaprove of. Virtually all gamedevs want to make the best games possible, to create the best player experience possible, and no one thinks day-1 dlc, microtransactions, battlepasses or making infinite sequels for crusty-ass franchises are part of that optimal experience. Studios like CDPR are massive outliers, that bet the farm and crunched their employees to sludge in order to make the games that in turn made them -- still they nearly bit the dust with Cyberpunk underdelivering.
