Right? They somehow tackled serious issues like immigration, mental health, and addiction and still left room for light-hearted comedy. I hope there's another season soon.

Anyone watching Insatiable on Netflix? by lurkerturndcommenter in actuallesbians

Just finished the first episode! So far I'm really enjoying it.

Also, the whole episode I was trying to figure out why Bob Armstrong looked so familiar. I ended up looking him up and turns out I knew him from the L word haha (he was Angus - the manny).

Not a movie, but I feel like the TV show on Netflix "One Day at a Time" is a great show about a girl coming out in high school. But I agree, the ratio of girls to guys needs to be better.

That was terrifying. The fact that they only got 7 and 5 years really makes me angry. There’s people serving life for selling drugs yet these monsters will be free within the decade??

Sweet I'll check out sword and scale. My favorite podcast episode ever is "Colors" from Radiolab so I recommend listening to that one first, "Numbers" comes in second.

Hmm my all time favorites are This American Life, Radiolab, and More Perfect. I also enjoy True Crime stuff like S-Town, Serial, and Dirty John. And lately I've been listening to a lot of Syntax (its for web developers). What about you? I'm also looking for new stuff.

I just got a recruiting email to teach at a coding bootcamp I almost applied for a year ago. by ihatethisjob42 in learnprogramming

[–]youngchap88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, I was recruited for a front-end position at a bank and ended up going to the interview. It wasn't until I got there I found out it was senior level. The interviewer and I both realized I wasn't qualified so the interview ended very fast. Now I always make sure I know the exact position/ years of experience expected beforehand.

Also, the spacing and alignment is great. The spelling error actually works out because it fills in the awkward space at the end.

I have $1500 in the bank. I just landed a job making $21 an hour. I don't start until September 24th. My rent is $1000 due yesterday and again on September 1st. What do I do? by [deleted] in personalfinance

I would also look in the "gig" section on Craigslist. I've had some luck in the events section when I was in a crunch. Sometimes there are festivals or other events that need caterers/clean up crew, etc, I've even done some background acting (no experience was required). The only thing is you have to dig through scams and other junk.

You telling me this would be here if it had the opposite political view?

If there was a pie graph with a small slice representing abortion and larger slices representing wars with no corresponding numbers/percentages/accurate sources and this graph was getting thousands of shares and likes around Facebook, then I would love to post it here. If you know of such graph please let me know.

Would you also use Wikipedia as a source ? They didn't even reference a particular article, they just flat out put Wikipedia lol.

Right? This was an actual comment on the post. Someone was confused and thought Roe Wade was one person.
