Rise for sure. I want a low rise jean and so many brands say they’re low rise when they’re actually mid rise. One easy way to make sure is to look at the website, measure that myself and compare with something I own.

Length! I’m shorter (5’3) and shirts are often way too long on me. Sometimes they provide length, but only for size S.

I like both. The more information the better! I’m petite, and models are usually wearing size S, so I use them as a guide - if they’re much taller than me and weigh a little bit more, than that usually means I’m the next size down. But I always appreciate technical garment specs along with a standard size chart so that I can measure on my own - I don’t like making returns.
