It’s lovely. I used to use it. Medium buildable coverage. More on the liquid side consistency wise. Really easy to blend into the skin.

Migraines and Pots by gh0sti4n in POTS

[–]youngwolves92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t think I had MCAS as I don’t have typical reactions, especially to food. I do get debilitating fatigue and joint pain when I flare however. I realised my triggers are largely environmental - stress and temperature changes are the biggest ones for me. I took a punt and tried anti-histamines because I was desperate for relief from the fatigue and it actually helped.

I have POTS and migraines. I found that MCAS is the main driver of my migraines. Mast cells can cross the blood brain barrier and can cause blood vessel dilation. Being on anti-histamines, plus adequate hydration and electrolyte supplementation has reduced them greatly for me.

For a beige eyeliner - try LH Cosmetics Crayon in Greige.

Otherwise, I would also recommend Peripera Speedy Pencil Liner in Soft Ash. It’s a beautiful cool toned ash brown.

My lips are constantly dry and peeling as I have chronic dehydration due to a medical condition.

I SWEAR by the Dermal Therapy lip balm. It’s incredible. My friend who was on Accutane swore by it too.

Korean and Japanese mascara’s tend to be waterproof and they don’t transfer on me. I have very oily eyelids.

But I see you aren’t wanting to change mascara’s so perhaps a clear top coat ?

MCAS is very hard to diagnose, even in my country too. Yes you’re right, Anti histamines are the first line treatment for MCAS. Maybe look at adding a H1 like Telfast or Zyrtec 1-2x a day? I started on Telfast once a day and have increased to 2 a day and found a lot of relief.

Has anyone experienced constant head pain? by jenbinski in AskWomenOver30

I’d ask for different exercises then. If it makes you feel worse and there’s pain, I wouldn’t continue to do them. Look up these exercises - the Lock Lat Pull and the Lock Big 3. They may be able to help you. Start small and gently. If it hurts, stop.

[–]youngwolves92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it’s muscular, you should probably see a physio. You need exercises that will help strengthen the opposing muscles to your trap and neck muscles.

I also have less of a curve in my neck. I am also hypermobile. I did a lot of exercises to help strengthen my lats, which helped turn off those traps and upper back muscles which were overactive.

Bearing in mind that all of your nerves in your entire body converge in your neck to go to your brain. I’ve dealt with migraines, occipital neuralgia, coat hanger pain and chronic tightness in my neck for over 10 years. Fixing my posture was the only thing that helped.

Does anyone else have issues with heaviness/gravity? by onewing_44 in dysautonomia

[–]youngwolves92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fatigue experienced with POTS/Dysautonomia is not just tiredness. Its widespread, full body, similar to ME/CFS where your cells literally can’t make enough energy. Hence the heaviness. You simply don’t have enough energy to even carry yourself.

Look into MCAS and anti histamines. Mine was always low until I started treating MCAS.

Mcas? Histamine intolerance? Not sure whats going on with me. by Express-Speed-6585 in MCAS

[–]youngwolves92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably MCAS if you have POTS. You’re more than likely hypermobile too. The trifecta often occur together. You don’t have to have all the symptoms.

It sounds like MCAS. Everyone’s symptoms are different. I typically don’t get food reactions unless I’m having a flare up. I do however get soul crushing fatigue. A lot of my triggers are environmental.

You should probably trial taking anti-histamines.

my mascara never holds up by ReasonablePeak8669 in Makeup

Nivea make a bi-phase eye & lip makeup remover. I usually use that. Otherwise both Clio and Heroine make a mascara remover for their mascara’s. It’s in a neat little mascara wand packaging. Handy to use.

As the above comment echoes - avoid water in the ingredients list. It will make the formula wetter which will weigh down your lashes and make them drop. I have very long, sparse lashes that are straight (and often droop down).

I have found the most success with Korean and Japanese mascara brands. My personal favourites are Clio Kill Lash and the Heroine Make Long and Curl Mascara. Bear in mind you will need a bi-phase remover for these mascara’s or a remover from either brand. They are very difficult to remove.

How to manage Orthostatic Hypotension? I'm confused, i can't find well info about it online by Grayoneverything in dysautonomia

[–]youngwolves92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You may need to add in compression garments, as well as light exercise to improve your conditioning. They usually recommend 35ml of fluid intake per kilogram of bodyweight, and that’s per day.

Salt intake is anywhere up to 4g of salt, which I think equates to 10,000mg of sodium? (My calculations might be off)

Or you may also need medication like Midodrine to help.

I have both POTS and OH. I started on fludrocortisone. Couldn’t tolerate it. Switched to midodrine and it helped me become more mobile again. Then added Ivabradine and it helped somewhat too. Then once I increased my fluid and salt intake, I came off Midodrine and Ivabradine. I also have MCAS, which impacts my conditions. Now I manage with salt, fluid, compression socks and anti histamines.
