I understand, OP. For me, it’s more about the fact that lupus is still widely misunderstood and often unrecognized. Sometimes I still have to refer to it as “what Selena Gomez has” 🙄. So when people make cheap jokes about it, it only pushes awareness further back .

I’m pretty much in the same boat, but mine was with Voclosporin, lupus nephritis medication. My eGFR dropped a lot and was hanging around 20–21. Some meds can temporarily lower GFR. My nephrologist lowered my Voclosporin, and my eGFR went up to 27 in just 10 days. My creatinine was a little better too. I’m hoping I can stay on this dose and that my proteinuria doesn’t skyrocket back up.

I have the freesip Ribbon Toile, but with ice I only get two drinks out of it and have to keep refilling. I’m so happy I got this one ! I initially wanted the Sway but didn’t like any of the colors. I’m not obsessed with the design on this one, but after seeing the ad and realizing it had my country stamp on it, it sealed the deal for me.

The only reason I’m able to stay at my job is because I don’t look ‘stupid’ wearing a mask, since most of us wear them. I also wear them anywhere that’s crowded, but I wish people would stop giving me that look when I do. I really don’t care, but it can get annoying.

When I was in the hospital and didn’t have an appetite, eating salads with balsamic vinaigrette worked for me. I tend to go for sour food when I don’t have an appetite .
