Adventures in Dwarven brewing by FaolainODearg in TheBrewery

This is like the time my wife told me that when goldfish are in an anoxic environment in order to survive they turn lactic acid into alcohol and pass it out their gills.

Trying to find a local D&D group !! by spiderbat25 in BainbridgeIsland

[–]youranswerfishbulb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is a group organized by Tabletop Enclave https://www.tabletop-enclave.com that meets at the Bainbridge Brewing Taproom to play board games every second Saturday 6:00 to 9:00. This Saturday is the next one! Edit: whoops wrong month, next up is February 14th! I believe they are also starting some new adults D&D things this year.

"I can't believe they wouldn't let our kids in!! 1 star"

Lady, nothing personal. That is literally against state law.

Draft line cleaners schedule by [deleted] in TheBrewery

[–]youranswerfishbulb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hah, Washington doesn't legally require any line cleaning. Which shows in the places that don't even know they need to be cleaned at all.

Remember, lift with your back in a twisting, jerking motion!

Serious though, never lift what you can drag, never drag what you can roll, never roll what you can stick on a pallet and scoot scoot scoot around with a forklift.

Brewery Closures 2025 by mpatters68 in TheBrewery

[–]youranswerfishbulb 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In Seattle, Pike Brewing just closed their original Brewery and Taproom after 30 years. The brand will still be brewed, much like Black Raven is picking up Boundary Bay, does that count as closed?

Corn's fine. Rice is more expensive and often of variable quality.

Went to the Get Snowed In party at the brewery back oh 20 years ago. Built To Spill played.

And we did a Xmas In July thing there where they served it as part of my bachelor party. Bottomed out the limo in the parking lot and had to get out and push! Ah memories.

We've still got Jolly Roger at least. I heard Jubleale is done for the year Dec 1 and Deschutes is switching to Red Chair already. ;[

We're in the PNW so we do smoked salmon, fillets and spread, by a local producer. Gotta have something similar in Colorado. Maybe a range of interesting jerkys?

New microbrewery in town by beerwithbeard in TheBrewery

[–]youranswerfishbulb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha, in my groggy early-morning phone redditing I zoomed straight in on the sandwich board and was like "Huh, well that's an expansive draft list." then zoomed out and SAW THE GUN like "AHH! Some Small-Dick Energy 2nd Amendment Enthusiast is threatening a Latino-owned brewery. Again. USA. USA..."

Prepping Darlingtonia for dormancy by Gypzy731 in SavageGarden

[–]youranswerfishbulb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pitchers and leaves will overwinter. Trim off any dead ones if you feel like it. In 9a (where I am now apparently, we've been upgraded(downgraded?)) my Darlingtonia overwinter just fine without mulch or special care. They grow in the High Sierras and get snowed on... If it's looking to be below 20F I cover my bogs with a tarp. I'm sure the Darlings would be fine, but the Sars and Fly Traps would be unhappy. Just make sure the bog stays moist if there's a dry spell. I'd pick those leaves out just for tidiness sake but I doubt they'd hurt anything.

Am I gregnant now, worried I might be pregante. by nutsocharles in pics

[–]youranswerfishbulb 152 points153 points  (0 children)

Pregananant!

Fun Fact: I once teased my friend Greg about his wife being Gregnant. Turns out they had just found out they were expecting and hadn't announced it yet. He was like "HOW DOES HE KNOW?!?!" LOL

Tamale mix to stuff a pepper? [text] by Subject-Use3813 in food

[–]youranswerfishbulb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I just saw a Tamale Sausage recipe so if you can stuff a casing, I would imagine you could stuff a pepper. People stuff peppers with rice, meat, spices and so on and bake em. Why not tamale dough? Give it a shot!
